We visited Soul for dinner with friends. We were welcomed, greeted and seated immediately (reserved through Resy). There was a photo set up for Valentine’s Day which was cool! The service was great and the food was absolutely Delicious! I had the pork chop which was juicy and cooked to perfection the grits were some of the best I’ve had. My husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits with Cajun seasoning added. Our friends had the ribeye and smash burger. We all shared bites and everything was great. Will definitely be back!

What a sweet spot! Food was incredible. I enjoyed the Coca Cola Braised BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich and it was decadent. From the perfect pork to the light brioche bun perfectly toasted to the picked onions mixed with the BBQ Sauce. Wow. The fries were perfectly crisped and seasoned. Everyone was super friendly & the service was great. Looking forward to taking the family here for dinner soon! So good!

Had lunch at Soul on Main and it was a great experience. It was nice and quiet, perfect for a relaxed meal. I ordered the shrimp and grits — a decent, flavorful dish with a good portion size. Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. Will be back!

This place has an elegant spin on southern comfort food. I had the KY Kuban and it was delicious, I have not had a Cuban quite like this but it is by far my favorite so far. The fries are cooked to perfection crunchy on the outside soft and creamy on the inside seasoned well and not overly salty. The atmosphere and bar area are nicely done with a rustic vibe. Staff are attentive and polite and keep this establishment very clean. I can not recommend this place enough. I will happily be back again.

Bekah greeted and served me, she was super sweet and efficient- she answered all my culinary questions with grace.
The limited menu is packed with quite interesting flavor pairings- I was torn between the shrimp and grits and chicken sandwich (which, if there was pickled onions on it with the pimento cheese and pickles, I’d have gotten that).
Alas, I was feeling spicy so I got a spicy marg and the shrimp and grits with a side of house made hot sauce.
The marg was very smooth and flavorful, with a tajin rim and lasted just long enough for my food to come out.
The house made hot sauce has a Tabasco essence with more of a punch, if I could buy this by the bottle, I WOULD.
On to the main dish, the shrimp and grits were the perfect portion topped with scallions and parsley and corn. At first I was a bit surprised by the pool of grease the shrimp were bedded on, but throughout eating, I found it to be useful in adding extra flavor. The shrimp were a hefty size and flavored well. The grits are Weisenberger Mill steel cut and very flavorful and creamy.
Only reason I’d knock a half a point was for the pool of grease, but even then it had its merits during my experience, so I’m probably just being picky.
Can’t wait to see how this place grows and what offerings they add in as they find their footing and identity. Welcome to Nicholasville SOM!

Pleasantly surprised to say the least. Great meal (we all 4 had the pork chop) great service and priced very fairly. Our server was wonderful, mer the chef and just an all around excellent experience. Well definitely be on our regular rotation.

Soul on Main is one of the best places to eat in Kentucky, hands down! The food is beyond amazing, the service is top notch, and the vibes are immaculate. I would recommend booking a reservation in advance as they fill up fast and often!
I went here with my husband and mother-in-law for dinner. Our waitress, Karrie, was the best. She took care of our every need with helpful recommendations, attentive service and was just an all ‘round kind lady! We also talked with the owner who was super sweet and her husband is the chef, making everything from scratch.
We got the Pimento Cheese and Chips appetizer, which was so delicious. The cheese was so flavourful and the chips were toasty. For our entrées, we got the Filet Mignon (a featured special that night), the Roasted Pork Chop and the Chicken & Taters.
We couldn’t decide which dish we liked best. All were absolutely magical, like we just stepped into someone’s home and they had whipped us up a meal. The filet mignon, chicken and pork chop were seasoned to perfection, piping hot and melt-in-the-mouth tender. The potatoes and smoked mac ‘n’ cheese were wonderfully seasoned and perfect pairings. Seriously, some of the best meals you’ll find anywhere, and generous portions to boot.
To top it all off, we got their famous Bourbon Brown Butter Cake for dessert. It has heaven in every bite. They make everything from scratch here, and it shows!
I can’t recommend this local gem enough. We cannot wait to return and bring some more family in tow. There are so many other dishes we have to try!

Amazing!!! Delicious food and AMAZING customer service. I will definitely be coming back. It felt like home but gourmet!! Must get the pork chops so tender and the grits were soooo thick and cheesy! Hot sauce WAS DELICIOUS! I feel like a good idea would be fried pickles with the fried green tomato breading. The pickles on the burger were delicious and would make an even better appetizer! Fried green tomatoes were super good I loved the breading.

I ordered the roasted pork chop with chipotle maple glaze and swapped the grits for the smoked mac and cheese. Everything was outstanding. The flavors were rich, balanced, and clearly made with care.
It’s great to finally have a sit-down restaurant in Nicholasville delivering this level of quality and hospitality. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
