Update: better service and better craft beer selection. Unfortunately the draft beer i wanted were out of. Thanks for adding a gf beer option.
Typically Great food and service. They used to have a pretty good happy hour too, but our waitresses really down played it. I’ve had better service there in the past. They could also inprove their craft beer selection of IPA’s. I can get a can of Anti Hero anywhere.

Amazing prime rib. Bartenders are exceptional and super friendly. It is a true neighborhood hangout.

In town for a family reunion. Stopped in and ordered the shaved prime rib sandwich, which was gigantic (and very good)! Had a couple glasses of good wine, which came with a generous pour. Patty was my waitress and she was great. Very welcoming and has esp about what you might need next. Great place!

I had an excellent fish and chips would turn into service. There is a music being played near the bar which added to the ambiance. My one colleague had scallops and my son had surf and turf. There was a lovely color throughout the restaurant gave a modern touch to the Tudor style interior. This restaurant is a good option if you do not want to go downtown Chicago and is attached to the Carlton hotel where my friend was staying the night. Definitely recommend this for a night out

Wow! Had live jazz band tonight and it brought out the crowd. Should continue with live music it fits so well with this classy bar that has really excellent food. Great lamb special and shrimp and grits. Ask for the blood orange Manhattan- really good. The staff is great and gives attention to detail that is hard to find. Great for any occasion. Mike and Joe the bartenders really make this place!

I am staying at the hotel and work late most nights, so I’ve been here twice this week.
Of the items I’ve tried not one thing was worth what I paid. The French onion soup was close but the cheese was burnt and the taste permeated throughout the entire bowl. The pork tenderloin was good but the sides were cold. The eggplant is really a plate of melted cheese with a tough sliver of skin-on eggplant.
The best things so far are the $2 pints of Miller Lite on Mondays.
Because I am here most of the month, I will continue to test the menu in the hopes of finding something that tastes as good as it costs. I’m not holding out much hope. That’s too bad because the place has potential. The atmosphere is very nice.
Thank goodness I’m on an expense account. I wouldn’t want to waste my money on this place.

Went over to hear live music in a comfortable setting. Enjoyed, but had a tough time getting attention of bar staff – they tried hard but were scrambling. With my beer i Also ordered steak quesadillas – great price and delicious.

We’ve been going to Barclay’s for years now. It’s become our go to place when no one can agree on dinner. The food is always fresh and delicious. Drinks are good as well.
All if the staff is great. We’ve been asking for the same server for a few years because we all like her so much and she remembers our drinks so we don’t really have to order them. Patty is awesome!!!!

Pleasant enough, service satisfactory, we went for a Thanksgiving buffet. Food a little above average, decent variety, average tab/bill for this type of event. Setting and seating are very nice, normal menu usually a bit better.
