This store is no joke. Friendly employee prepared the ice cream like we in a hibachi restaurant, and the final product was absolutely delicious! I will be coming here again!

My wife was wanting some cold stone as we were passing through Baldwin Place. We stop in thinking it was going to be a normal experience… it was anything but normal. With confusion on our faces we were trying to decide which flavors to get for the evening (a much harder task than you’d think… theres lots of good flavors). When the gentleman behind the counter offered his assistance, he knew what we wanted better than we did. Mohammad and Christina working behind the counter then proceeded to chop up the most bangin ice cream i’ve ever ate. Then just as i think the show is over, Christina throws the ball of ice cream into the air and Mohammad comes in with cup in hand to snag the floating scoop before it crashes to the ground. Ice cream and a show! The only bad thing is that my Cold Stone experience just peaked, it will never be this good again, the bar is now set too high. I have been to this store numerous times within the last 3 years, and I have to say the customer service was not as usual. I ordered cake batter ice cream with some mix ins that weren’t mixed in at all. I won’t be going back anytime soon.
5/1/24 came back to my review and I didn’t get any response but I see how everyone else got one funny thing is I actually went back because I decided to give them another shot and this time it wasn’t so bad but since you ain’t got time to respond I ain’t got time to make a new review keep your 1 star.

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. We’ve been coming here for years, and unfortunately, staffing issues have always been a problem. About a year ago, it seemed like new management took over, but things have only gotten worse since then. The staff acts like serving ice cream is a chore, and their attitudes are consistently unpleasant. It feels like hiring unmotivated teenagers without proper supervision is doing more harm than good.
This location needs serious improvement before continuing to hire more staff who clearly aren’t being properly trained or managed. The customer service is so poor, it’s hard to understand how they’re still in business.
They’re also constantly out of stock on multiple items, yet they continue to offer them online. We’ve shown up several times to pick up items we ordered, only to be told they’re unavailable. Most recently, they promoted their new birthday cake taco, which has never been in stock despite the signage and online listings. One employee told me they had it yesterday, but I was here yesterday and was told by another staff member that they’ve never had it.
Tonight was the last straw. My family and I will no longer be returning to this location.

Normally a wonderful store. Today, absolutely horrible. Waited 40 minutes while three youths did all the mobile orders and one youth attempted to do in store customer orders and failed miserably…then started cursing and complaining while one of the three doing mobile orders knocked containers off the counter. Thank goodness my husband was right there to catch them before they fell to the ground. Absolutely a disgrace. Whoever runs this store should be ashamed. Disorganized mess!
Update since I can’t respond. The in store customers were being completely ignored. With 10 customers in store and only one of three doing in store customer orders, you lost a lot of business with many walking out after waiting 30/40 min. It wasn’t short staffed, it was disorganized with no leadership and rudeness. Sorry but I’ve been going there for years and this was absolutely the worst I’ve ever seen behind the counter.

Absolutely horrible experience here this week. The worst customer service I’ve received in a long time. I pre-ordered a small chocolate, peanut butter ice cream cake for my sister’s birthday party for pickup 7:45 with the party starting at 8:00 pm on Sunday. My friend attending the party was picking it up for me on the way. When she arrived, she was told by the employee “I thought this order was for tomorrow. We don’t have this cake.” She called me on the phone for us to work through the issue together. For our inconvenience we were offered a small cup of ice cream, or a large cake in a totally different flavor. Neither of those options helped us at all. The only small options they had on hand were coffee or vanilla (sweet cream) – neither of which my sister likes. We reluctantly chose the vanilla and asked the employee what could be done for this major mishap and we are told nothing. We ask him to call his boss – who says the most he can offer is $5 off. $5 off a $43 incorrect pre-ordered cake is absolutely insulting. We didn’t have time to go somewhere else as she was already 20 minutes late for the party because of all the back and forth so unfortunately we had to accept. The kicker – when I got the credit email notice back that night – he had only refunded me $4. It was really shocking that they completely forgot our order and were so unwilling to give us a discount on the wrong replacement cake in such a casual, unapologetic manner.
Beware when ordering a cake from here. Very, very disappointed. Will never be going back.

This store is an absolute disgrace. The employees were completely disorganized, incompetent, and incredibly rude. My order was completely botched, I ordered the birthday cake remix, and it came with gummy bears and peanuts rather than the brownie and sprinkles (bear in mind, I am allergic to peanuts and made this well known). The only employee there who even seemed like they had a sliver of knowledge on how to run an ice cream shop, was one named Sebastian, who was extremely helpful and offered a free replacement for my absolutely disgraceful previous order. At this point, I had chocolate stains all over my brand new white shirt, and was completely fed up with this disease of a business, and so I politely declined. Whoever owns this shop should be arrested and charged with criminal conduct. I am a professional ice cream connoisseur, and have seen better establishments in the slums of Chicago. Do better.

The workers are always nice and the place is always clean but on the past month or two, the ice cream is so soft that we’ve slowed down going there. We used to go every week. Please turn the freezer back up. Nobody wants soup.
