My husband and I often travel to Palomas MX to spend the day shopping at the Pink Store, the Farmacias and a few other places that have goods we can’t find in the states. We often dine at El Patron and have always found it to be very enjoyable with great customer service. We have tried several of their dishes and enjoyed them all, but our favorites are those that come on the sizzling skillets. Today I had shrimp fajitas that were grilled up perfectly with bell peppers and onions. Good corn tortillas are always a plus. Rice and beans with guacamole on the side. Had a large, ice cold agua fresca de Jamaica. Everything was perfect and completely enjoyable. Our server was charming and had a smile every time she checked on us. I have never had any complaints about this restaurant, but I have seen a lot of improvements in the appearance over the past year or two as it is clear that they are striving to improve customer service and restaurant appearance. I would definitely recommend this El Patron to anyone visiting Palomas. Especially if that other restaurant is packed and you just don’t feel like dealing with all the chattery tourists. Yeah, we’re tourists too, but we kinda prefer going to places where the locals go. Plus, it’s a good chance to brush up on our Spanish. 😉

The Wife and I Had a wonderful time.
Our Cantinera Laura was much mas fabuloso. I had the combo plate and it was wonderful.

Worst service ever! I came in with my family and the servers were just sitting there! We found a table and awaited the menu, 10 minutes went by and nothing! A few minutes later a few older non- spanish speaking people walked in and the servers got up and gladly oppened the door for them and instantly brought them the menu. We were left unattended! So we just got up and left! (Worst racism in Mexico than anywhere in the US!)

Horrible service. Spend your money at other place. The service is horrible and the workers are beyond racist they ignore those of the same race as them. The place is filthy and the food had hairs. The workers were not wearing there face masks appropriately.
