We came in Saturday lunch. It was fairly empty. We got the get down dirty, king crab, mussels, shrimp head on, lobster tail, potatoes, corn and sausage with lousiana seasong little bit spicy. And it was perfect. I suggest that if you are a rice eater to ditch the potatoes and order plain white rice. We eneded up ordering white rice. I do recommend what we ate. Very tasty, somewhat salty but not overly salty. They do give you additional salt and pepper on the side. We definitely took our gloves off and ate with our hands. We used the table as plates coz tablecloth is disposable. Worth a try! Just prepare your wallet. 🙂 but we ordered expensive stuff.. so..

Came on a Monday for lunch and it was empty. Ordered the Garlic noodles, the Combo #2 which had crab, shrimp, sausages, corn and potatoes. We also ordered the short ribs, clam chowder and the lobster roll. We didn’t get any speciality sauces for the broil so it was just buttery garlic since we had our kids with us. The noodles were buttery and garlicy too which was good, toddler approved too chowder was rich and hearty. Short ribs was pretty good too. And it came with a free can of soda I believe. But that was probably my favorite besides the broil itself. The lobster roll came with fries and it was toasty and pretty good ration of lobster. Would definitely come back again. Oh and another interesting point, we paid right after ordering which was unusual but I’m guessing it’s to reduce the dine and washers. But good overall.
Also forgot that if you write a review and show it to them, they’ll give you a free slice of tiramisu!

Quiet Sunday date night. Quick, friendly service and exceptional seafood. I love how you can choose the heat level with all the sauces. As someone who doesn’t enjoy a lot of spice Im usually stuck with one kind of flavor profile (boring).

We didn’t get a chance to try the seafood boil yet, but we sampled a few other menu items during our visit. The gumbo didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t gumbo—it was more like a chowder in flavor and texture, not what we expected. The garlic fries were just okay; they looked completely different from the menu photo and definitely needed more garlic.
We also ordered the garlic noodles, and honestly, they were disappointing. The flavor was very bland with no seasoning or punch of garlic, and again, they didn’t look like the picture on the menu.
That said, our waitress was super kind and patient. When I shared my concerns about the garlic, she offered to remake the noodles and even brought them back with more added—but unfortunately, the flavor still didn’t improve. Still, her attitude and professionalism were appreciated.
Overall, we didn’t really enjoy the food this time, but we’re willing to give it one more shot—next time, we’ll try the seafood boil and hope for a better experience!
Update:
Against better judgment, we went for the “free tiramisu” promo. Should’ve known better. The first bite was frozen like it was auditioning for a spot in Elsa’s castle. ❄️ Between the chowder-style gumbo, flavorless fries, bland noodles, and now this ice-brick dessert… it’s giving false advertising meets culinary letdown.
We will still give another chance and be back for that seafood boil after all. I’m a strong believer not all days are the same, so even though my expectations are EXTREMELY low—I hope they deliver with the boil.

We went here for some yummy seafood in Valentine’s Day with our kids. It was so delicious! We didn’t have to wait long for food and were seated immediately. Potatoes and corn were cooked to perfection. The lobster and crab were fantastic. We ordered fried shrimp and fries for the kids, chicken wings and 1 order of Get Down and Messy. We had a coupon from TikTok that expires on 2/28/26. Just search for Bag O Crab Federal Way and it is the first to pop up I think.

Bag O’ Crab in Federal Way, Washington, is an absolute gem for anyone craving a fun, flavorful seafood boil experience! Located at 31511 Pacific Hwy S, this spot delivers that classic hands-on, messy-in-the-best-way dining vibe with seafood served right in a steaming bag, bursting with bold seasonings.
I went with a combo featuring snow crab legs, shrimp, tossed in their signature Cajun sauce with a kick of garlic butter and lemon pepper—pure perfection! The seafood was incredibly fresh, plump, and perfectly cooked; the crab meat came out tender and sweet, not mushy at all, and the shrimp peeled away effortlessly with tons of flavor soaked in. The sausage and corn sides added great texture and spice balance, and everything was generously portioned—definitely enough to share or take home for round two.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with quick service even when busy, and the staff is friendly and helpful with recommendations on spice levels. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of fresh seafood you get, making it a standout compared to other options in the area. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just want to try something exciting, Bag O’ Crab hits every mark—5 stars all the way! I’ll be back soon for the Dungeness or lobster next time. Highly recommend cracking into a bag here in Federal Way!

Came as a party of 5 plus a high chair, service gratuity included for parties of 5 or more. Saturday around 1230, pretty empty and we sat right away. Service was quick and attentive, stopping by to refill waters a few times.
Ordered the combo 4 with dungeoness crab medium spice, atomic sauce. 6 BBQ wings. Garlic noodles. Maine lobster roll with fries. Root beer. Total was $177.23. Combo was ok but not the best of the spots we’ve tried. Major loss of points because they cleaned the crab and took out the good stuff in the head just to give us an empty head back. It was also small. Overall the combo was not satisfying, smaller than what we normally would get at other places for the max combo option. There was lots of garlic but they weren’t cooked so when you grab some sauce its just biting into raw huge pieces of garlic. Maybe that’s why it didn’t have a good garlic flavor. Some shrimp pieces were overcooked so it was hard to peel.
Maine lobster roll and garlic noodles were better than the seafood boil. Overall I would not come back here over the other two seafood boils in the area.

We went in about 45 minutes before closing. There wasn’t anyone in there, not even someone to greet and seat us.. we were getting ready to walk out and the hostess, who was cleaning the bathrooms, finally noticed we were there. We got seated and then had to wait again because she decided to go finish cleaning instead of waiting to take our order, which we were pretty quick to decide what we were going to have.. otherwise, service was good. The food did have good flavor and wasn’t overcooked like some other places we’ve tried. One other thing I’d like to mention, unlike other boil places, you cannot order two of the same items in their combos.. for example, I wanted their combo one and wanted two pounds of shrimp, like I do other places, but was told that’s not an option on their ordering screen.. we would probably go back just because it was good food.

Wanted to try this in FederalWay, as I’m dying to find my next Cajun Crawfish before it changed hands. Nice atmosphere, no wait and food came quickly. Order #1 Combo got 1 lb of Clams, 1 lb of Mussels for $34 & added 1 lb of King Crab for Market Price of $70. Chose Louisiana Flavor. Taste was OK but it was really SALTY. Like retake your blood pressure medicine Salty. King Crab also was freezer mushy, not fresh like Market Price would suggest. Wife order 1 lb of Crawfish on Original Cajun to avoid the salt, it was fresher but the SALT was still there. High hopes but still wanting.
