Nice restaurant inside The Westin. The sommelier Khaled Mohamed works since 25 years at Marriott properties and his experience is highly appreciated. He served us very well and we appreciated the Happy Hour every day. The food is also quite good and made like art.

This was my second visit to Mare Social. The first time was with friends and it was a good experience, but this time I visited with my family, including my 2-year-old niece, and it was truly a very pleasant one. Joy welcomed us warmly, helped us with ordering, and was incredibly kind—she even played with my niece. She was honestly the main reason we fell in love with the place.
The only feedback from the men in my family was that the food portions felt a bit small. Overall, a lovely experience and great service.

Terrible experience. Firstly, I wanted to reserve a slot at 6:30 but was pushed to 7 as if the restaurant was busy, only to find out that it was completely empty, honestly a very cheap gesture unfit for a supposedly top restaurant. The disaster however, was 1 hour after we placed our order. The manager informed us – and I quote- “We’ve forgotten about your order, and the items you’ve ordered are not available”. IN AN EMPTY RESTAURENT as the photos show. What type of standard is this? We were genuinely shocked. This was my wife’s birthday and it was genuinely ruined by this absolute joke of a standard.

The food was amazing and the service was great. Our waiter islam was very attentive and helpful the whole time. Our host joy was the best host ever, so friendly and so welcoming and made the experience 100x better. We had a birthday and she helped set up the table with decorations and candles and everything, would 100% recommend.

The place is beautiful, with a nice view of the golf course. However, the water in the small waterfall near the restaurant had a bad smell. The food also did not match what I had seen in their Instagram videos. I tried three starters, and in two of them (the octopus and the “batatas bravas”) there was far too much ketchup, even though they were supposed to be made with tomato sauce. The Pica Pau fillet was good.
As a main dish, I had the wild mushroom rice, but the mushrooms tasted stale, almost like something left in a cupboard for too long. The grilled octopus arrived a bit cold, placed on top of a large pile of salad, which looked quite odd.
The lights were dimmed, which created a very cozy and romantic atmosphere. However, it was so dark that we had to use our mobile flashlight to read the menu. A small dimmed table lamp at each table would make a big difference.
Service was also disappointing: the waiters rarely checked on us, and we had to call them every time. They brought us the food menu but not the drink menu, which we had to specifically request after ordering our food. Overall, it felt like the place was understaffed.

Food was amazing, the beef rigatoni and the pic-pau beef appetizer were juicy and just simply delicious. Peri per chicken was ok, a it dry, but not too bad. Atmosphere is good, as the name states, has a very nice social casual/semi formal vibe going on, great indoor design and great outdoor view. Service was on point from all staff especially Karim, very attentive, warm and welcoming. Place is a-bit expensive to be honest, but overall a must try experience.

While the outdoor view was amazing and the staff were friendly, my dining experience fell short in a couple of areas. Firstly, the quality of the food was disappointing. The welcome salad wasn’t fresh, setting a disappointing tone for the meal. Both the appetizers and main dishes featuring meat lacked flavor and didn’t meet expectations. The fish dishes were passable but not outstanding. Additionally, considering the price, I found the overall value to be somewhat overrated. Despite the positives, such as the scenic outdoor seating and attentive staff, the inconsistent food quality and perceived high prices leave room for improvement

A wonderful dining experience at Mare Social. The food was incredible, but what made our evening truly special was our waiter, Islam. He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had a genuine warmth that made us feel so welcome. His excellent service is a true credit to the restaurant.
