We ordered margaritas, chicken nachos, and a carnitas plate. The food was really good everything was hot and fresh and the prices were reasonable. Im disappointed it wasn’t actually guacamole on the nachos just blended up avocado, it irks me when people advertise guacamole and it’s not actually guacamole. The margarita was ok.
The only reason for 4/5 stars is the service was lacking. There were long waiting periods throughout our meal although it was pretty empty inside I believe because she was handling multiple sections. We had to wait about 10 min for her to come into the area to flag her down for more salsa and had to wait 15 min for our check. Once you have your check you pay at the front.
Overall I’d definitely come back because the food & pricing was good just hope the customer service is a little better.
Well, third time’s the charm, right? I called ahead and was told great news they finally got their liquor license three weeks ago. Naturally, I decided to give this place one last try. I ordered the Don Mango, which came out to $20.99 (surprise! no prices on the menu gotta love the mystery). For that price, I expected at least a splash of alcohol. Instead, I got what tasted like a melted mango lollipop in a glass. If there was booze in it, it was hiding better than our waiter.
Speaking of which service was a disaster. We waited over 20 minutes just to flag someone down for the check and a to-go box. And to top it all off, there was a guy with black hair in a red shirt giving us nasty looks for no reason. He spent more time chatting up the table next to us than doing anything else. It got pretty annoying like, cool story bro, but we came here to eat, not listen to your autobiography.
Definitely not coming back.
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by staff. The gentleman offered us samples of a couple different drinks they make in a house. We were sold right there. The staff are very attentive and the dining area was very nice.
The food was excellent. The picture doesn’t do the food justice…. my burrito filled me up and im a big eater.
We will return to this restaurant.
Then came the cantarito. I was expecting that refreshing tequila-citrus kick… instead, I got lemonade. Not even fancy lemonade just plain, icy, disappointment in a cup. If there was alcohol in there, it must’ve ghosted me.
And don’t even get me started on the service. It was so slow I started to wonder if they were growing the ingredients from scratch. It wasn’t even busy just a chill, late Saturday afternoon on Mother’s Day weekend, which you’d think would call for a little more hustle. At one point, I started contemplating whether I should help out in the kitchen just to get things moving.
All in all, it was an experience not the one I hoped for, but definitely one I’ll remember. Next time, I’ll bring my own tequila and a frying pan, just in case.
