Amazing wings… different from what we usually have as buffalo wings in the Philippines which is sweet and dark in color. I do like this better.

The wings here were great, they weren’t lying about being the birthplace of buffalo wings. The sauce was amazing the wings were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Well the flats were at least, the drums were over breaded. Overall still great wings just recommend asking for all flats if that’s available.

We just had wings and a couple of beers so we cannot comment on anything else on the menu. The bar is cool and vibrant, service was good and we’re glad we visited. Wings were average and I’ve had better but I’m not complaining. Wings have had 60 years to evolve so the original recipe was pretty dang impressive. The place was packed on a Thursday afternoon.

Home of the original Buffalo wing, this decent size restaurant embraces their own sauces and mastery of wings. This is a franchised business however this location is the original. The wings were excellent, cooked made to order and came out crispy and drenched in sauce. We chose the medium or the original sauce that was created for the buffalo wings. It did have a bit of a kick but nothing out of the ordinary. It brought out the flavor of the chicken wings as well as adding that little extra. As an appetizer we ordered the pizza logs which are egg rolls with mozzarella and pepperoni that come with a marinara dipping sauce. Quite tasty and had a wonderful cheese pull. The spicy Hot Chicken Wing Soup is nothing short of its name. It’s a chicken wing in soup form which pieces of the chicken throughout. Definitely a spot to check out if you’re ever in Buffalo NY. They also sell their sauces throughout the restaurant and in the airport as well so you can enjoy it wherever your travels take you.

Being a fan of Buffalo Wings and having eaten them at most places in my homestate of New Jersey, it only made sense to give Anchor Bar a shot on our way through Buffalo.
The setting of the place is very cool! Lots of memorabilia and pictures on the walls of celebrities who have eaten there. Rather spacious, as we only had to wait about five minutes to get a table.
The fried pickles as an appetizer was an excellent choice! Very tasty! 20 wings in medium sauce was the main course. The sauce itself was very flavorful and had a bit of heat to it. Not to overpowering, just enough kick to keep you coming back for more! However, I personally thought that the wings were a bit too crispy/overcooked. I found them to be tough and a little hard to chew. I wish they had been softer.
I’m still happy I can say that I ate at the Anchor Bar, and would encourage anyone else to give the place a try as well!

The chicken wings was delicious with the signature sauce. The garlic was good and the chicken wings really crispy. I ordered potatoes with honey, really tasty and craving it after back home. The interior inside really lovely and cool. Gonna be back here.

We were visiting from Canada. We decided to check out this restaurant and the food was phenomenal. The chicken wings were just perfect, and crispy. I highly recommend their dry rub wings it was so delicious. Never had anything this good! Highly recommend!

We were in Niagara Falls for the weekend and word on the streets is this is where Buffalo chicken was first invented so coming from Bklyn,NY we had to try this. We really enjoyed it but it did not give us that craving feeling we had taken the original sauce. But this is just our opinion we would recommend everyone to try it and try all the sauces to help your tummy find its happy place.

What a wonderful place to enjoy some fabulous buffalo wings and a salad. Even the Maker’s Mark Old Fashioned was excellent! Ordered the medium heat 10 piece wings and a chef’s salad and was not disappointed. Would love to come back here again soon!

I’ve grown tired of wings since most places don’t make them to my liking, but I had to try them here. Pretty much perfect. The sauce is familiar yet something is different. It just tastes real – if you will. The place isn’t there to impress you, it looks original and homey. Even though they have chains, this place feels unique and to the point.
