Where do I start. I was I search of a place to do a cake for my daughters Sweet 16 not knowing I’d find the most amazing bakery literally minutes from my house. I walked in 1 day with my daughter and received such a warm greeting from a young man and (possibly his Dad). They were both so so nice. They then grabbed the baker. I’m upset I can’t remember her name (Nella??) anyways she was so so nice and welcoming and helped us, took notes and gave suggestions with my daughters cake vision for her Sweet 16. My daughter wanted chocolate mousse cake. And the theme was A Night Under the Stars..
When I tell you this cake was absolutely AMAZING! She captured everything we wanted. And more importantly it was delicious! So moist, so flavorful. Everyone loved it and kept talking about it. I would recommend them to anyone.

Great and cozy place! Last minute pick up on an apple pie and they were very accommodating, gave me the last one, fresh and warm and without having pre ordered! Nothing but smiles and helpful! Also to boot I found my fav thing …toasted almond cake! OMG it was sooo delicious. Grabbed some very fresh, soft and warm rolls as well, they wereeee let’s just say I am coming back for more lol!!!!

Ran into Nonnie’s; in a pinch, to grab cupcakes. The cupcakes that were available were absolutely beautiful. Each 4 pack had completely unique, detailed floral designs with both vanilla and chocolate cake. Beyond this, there were also small terracotta pots with the larger sized cupcakes inside, with the gorgeous floral frosting design as well. When my coworkers saw the cupcakes, every single person asked to take a picture of the assortment before anyone started eating- they were truly gorgeous and perfect for this time of year. The taste matched the aesthetic- perfection all around. This is not the first time I have had Nonnie’s sweets. My husband ordered my birthday cake from here; a chocolate peanut butter cake with the whipped cream frosting- amazing. I also had their pistachio cupcake with a ricotta frosting, outstanding. I cannot recommend Nonnie’s enough.

Stopped at Nonnie’s Italian Bakery for lunch. Small hometown, old school feel inside. Super friendly service from gentleman behind the counter. Chicken Parm Cutlet Hot Grinder was fantastic! Freshly made on the spot with great bread. Would easily get that again. Will return to try some of the bakery items.

The cannoli are amazing. They’re filled when you order them and the shell has a nice crunch to it. I can only speak for the ricotta filling, but that was delicious. The sfogliatella is also fantastic. The outside is nice and crisp and had the perfect amount of citrus flavor. The staff are friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Great bakery, and a great deli too. Prices are fair. The pizza is great, i was nervous when Mangiaficio’s became Nonnie’s that service/quality would change, it is most definitely has not. The owners are great and do a good job. Great place to have in Plainville.

Nonnies is always fantastic, there pies and cakes are delicious. Yesterday though they went above and beyond. I stopped in as my wife and I are expecting and asked if it would be possible to have a small cake made up for us to cut. So we gave her the sealed envelope with the gender and expecting it would take a few days, she had this beautiful cake ready the next day! There great people and do awesome work!

I was finally happy to make it to Nonni’s after experiencing their cannolis that were gifted to us from our cousins when they stopped by our house.
I figured with their fantastically fresh and uniquely stuffed cannolis that were some of the best I’ve had in a very long time, what else do they have cooking up in there? So I took a drive and had some fun.
Upon entering and properly ordering 1/2 dozen mini cannolis which are piped fresh and made to order, I somehow got a dozen but wasn’t mad! I also ordered some other Italian pastry classics: rainbow and anisette cookies and a few diff types of cake bc hellooooo..
Then another customer was ordering a sub/grinder and the young gentleman behind the counter seemed to take pride in his sammie making skills so OF COURSE I’m going to support local! Give me one of your best chicken cutlet sandos I said! And that’s exactly what happened..
The sando was great but I’d say the cannolis were still my fav and can’t wait till go back for more!
