I’ve given Mak & Ali’s a few tries, and one consistent issue is their crust coming out undercooked. This time I ordered a traditional crust pepperoni and cheese, asked for it well done, and still got no pepperoni, thin crust instead of traditional, cheese cooked too much, and the crust soggy.
From talking with others, undercooked crust and having to order “light sauce” seem to be common complaints here. Unfortunately, after multiple chances, the quality just isn’t there.

we ordered and enjoyed a 12” 1-item sausage pizza and small garlic parm bites ~ both were phenomenal! those garlic parm bites were like no others we’ve had ~ it is apparent that real garlic was used, didn’t taste like garlic salt or garlic powder. the bites were swimming in garlic butter ~ not our usual fare but such a delicious indulgence!! try mak & ali’s pizza ~ you’ll be back!!

Up here camping at Van Buren, from Lancaster, OH. We have tried a lot of local pizza shops while we’re out traveling/camping and this is probably the worst we’ve ever tasted! They must use the cheapest ingredients. As it cooled, the cheese was like wax. The overall flavor was just horrible! Our parmesan garlic bites were doughy too. I much rather would have had Pizza Hut or some other cheap chain pizza.

I loved the service. I will say that right off the bat. The first time there and that alone makes me wanna come back and try it again. The pizza was.. okay, I wasn’t a huge fan, but it wasn’t horrible. The cheese bread was okay as well. Could you have used some more garlic sauce or something? It was missing something.. idk, but all in all, I am going to give it another shot again and just try something else.. maybe my taste buds are off tonight. Regardless, a plus service brings me back. And not a bad value for the money.

Just moved to North Baltimore and have been trying the local restaurants and this pizza is hands down the best I’ve had in many years! Just got a sausage mushroom and pepperoni pizza and a ham bacon and pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. Quick and hot. Will be a regular for sure

Not what they used to be! I will give them some slack as they just restarted, but we ordered chicken nachos, which they said would be 1.5 hours before it could be delivered or 1 hour for pickup. So we chose pickup. I get down there more than an hour later, and they still had not even put them in the oven. There were what I counted 8 people working and only a few orders being put in the oven. I stood there waiting for another 15 minutes before they were even put in a box. Now, these were just small nachos, which they charged $10 for each. When I got them home, they were literally 1 layer of chips deep except for about 4 or 5 chips on the center top. There were only 10 to 15 small chucks of chicken. There were more Jalepeno’s than chicken, and my wife’s was the same way except she got banana peppers. $23 bucks for 1 layer of chips. If this is the new normal, then I will just buy the supplies myself or order someplace else. I love these guys and am glad they are back, but that was ridiculous. There are no excuses because the supplies are not that expensive.
