So much fun! Got to pick up a few fun things in the shop and we had food!! My husband and I got breakfast while chatting with the local and the guy running the shop. By far will be back! The food was great! The place is adorable and feels like home sitting there eating. I can’t wait to stop in again with our kids! Highly recommend!

FYI – this is NOT a diner, although it INCLUDES a diner. This is a piece of PA Wilds HISTORY!! I’ve been coming here for most of my life, and I always looked forward to the experience! It’s included a number of different products and services over the years, but the Trading Post was always the main attraction for me, and I’m DELIGHTED that the new owners have brought it back from the dead, and are operating it in the same spirit I remember as a kid! Like any good trading post, you’ll find a variety of items from the extremely practical to extraordinarily quirky! Local arts, antiques, hunting and fishing supplies, canned goods, ice cream, souvenirs, and a great place to just sit and relax by the fireplace. It’s just good fun stopping here – I hope I’m able to do so for the next 50 years as well!!

Been coming by here for many years, when I was a kid they used to have bears out back in a pen. That’s long gone. But they have alittle bit of everything. Smells like camp, which I love. Very nice older man to talk to. Also got a hoagie while I was there, which was also good. Diner was closed for the day.

Super nice, clean, and friendly store and restaurant in the Mountains of PA! The owner and his dog were awesome! We stopped on a long car ride to get snacks and an ice cream. From what I’ve heard their restaurant is great also. Can’t wait to stop back in on another long journey and have a bite to eat!

This place oozes with character, and as it turns out, is one of several quirky gift shops/variety store/lunch counters that dot both Route 44 and Route 6. This one stands out because of the giant black bear by the side of the road. The store is a conglomeration of thrift shop, used books, snacks and fun apparel for the whole family. In truth, this is not your Hallmark style gift shop. They sell guns and ammunition. And the sweatshirt I bought needed to be washed due to its unique smell, and not because it just came straight from the manufacturer. The parking is a little tricky because you simply pull in from the road. Fortunately its not a very busy stretch of Route 44. Despite its rustic appearance, this paranoid mom felt perfectly safe going in with just her kiddo with her. The owner was very friendly and answered my nosey questions with candor. Check this place out. Don’t drive by. You might enjoy the experience. PS 4 stars not 5 because they really could stand to cycle out some of the merchandise.

This was a fun little stop that we turned around for when we passed. We got some food items and foil for our nearby camping, and this store has a fun quirky collection of items which we couldn’t help but buy a few!

Our favorite place to stop on our way home after a stay at our favorite B&B. The two brothers are always friendly and the food is always good.
The hostesses loves to sit and chat with you but if you don’t have anything interesting to talk about he tens to just fall asleep..

We ride miles to get to FFF and we’re always happy we did..

Adam is awesome and they are really doing a great job of bringing the store back. Super friendly staff and one of the main staples for a visit to the mountain! I’ve been going in there since I was young. Keep up the great work!

Stopped in on an early Friday morning for breakfast. Greeted right away, and everyone was friendly and interested in providing any help they could. Had the breakfast burrito, and it was delicious! Would definitely stop again.
