You order your food on the screen you can either pay with card or cash at the register. There was a little bit of a wait for the food. I ordered some lemon pepper wings they only had one wing left so i was able to substitute it with something else. Everything was very tasty the greens the jerk chicken and the mac and cheese i’ll definitely be back

I’m only giving a star so that the owner could see it and make changes. I know Thomasenas food from Rising Sun ave store. Please bring back original Mac and cheese recipe. The one you have now tastes like the box. The sweet potatoes had flavor but were mushy. Even the turkey wings were different they taste likeb not fresh.. Please bring the old cooks back. For a 115 order i feel i overpaid I would have 45 based on quality . Please get it together as far as the pick up features. If I order online wait a half and hour to pick up then text me to pick up is ready I don’t want to wait another 30 minutes in line to then be told i haven’t bag your food please wait.. Not a good system.

The food is delicious, that says a lot coming from a chef myself. The only thing I would say is the taste of the white rice. It has an Asian taste to it, which doesn’t pair well with the soul food. I would just stick to oil , rice and salt and leave the rest of the flavoring out of the white rice. The rest of the food was absolutely delicious.

I ordered on grubhub and the food was PHENOMENAL! This has to be the best soulfood in philly! We had the turkey wings, bbq Turkey wings, fried wings, whiting, potato salad, black eyed peas with rice, tuna macaroni salad was super salty thats my only complaint. 10 stars! The flavor even made my mom say they can cook! Amazing!

I came there excited to try them at a new location. I visited many times the location prior near Forman mills on rising sun.
I came in order my food on the machine and chose to pay at register option.
From 4:23 to 5:20 I was sitting patiently in the establishment for my food.
Nobody called my number I go to the male cashier and ask him for my order update.
He informed me that they never started the order because I didn’t pay.
There are no sign’s and nobody followed up to ask me like this order isn’t paid for we can’t start making it. K224
All the man of I pay now after waiting a hour for nothing.
He informed me it would be an additional 30 minutes.
Just wasted my time going there and waiting to get no food.
Please better communication with customers as I was not the only customer who experienced this.
The lady in front of me didn’t know as well because it’s no sign or communication.
Regards next time now that I know I will try to order online prior and probably as soon as they open if time permits.
Will give another try in the future food smelled good at least

My husband picked up takeout from them and said the service was great- said a DoorDash driver tried to cut in line and the person ringing him up nipped that in the bud. Good looking out!
Food- soooo soooo sooo good, like stomping a foot good. My husband had the jerk chicken and said it was amazing and I had the fried whiting and it perfect- tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The yams tasted like a pie! And the portions were a double meal and we only got the medium size. It was a drive for us but so worth it and we will 100% be back

Facility was clean. Staff welcoming and friendly. Food very tasty and satisfying. Most of all the portions were plentiful.

Food always good, fresh & staff always greet you when you come in. Nice r&b and oldies playing while you wait for fresh food. So sad when they closed for that while but happy they opened back up! I always order a small platter but an extra side of jerk chicken ! We be back next week
