FiveO3 began as a pop-up at Palm Springs Village Fest in 2018 and quickly grew to serve authentic Salvadorean pupusas at major events, including the 2023 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. With multiple locations and festival stops across California, Nevada, and Arizona, we proudly opened our Cathedral City restaurant on July 14, 2023, and expanded to San Diego with a new Fashion Valley Mall location in July 2025. Open six days a week (Sun–Fri) and available for private events on Saturdays, we continue to grow the FiveO3 brand while sharing the flavors of El Salvador with our community.

here’s a cuisine you don’t come across often, Salvadoran. They don’t have a large menu but it’s meant more as an order at the front and take your food rather than sit down fine dining. What they do have is good and priced well. The Salvadoran Horchata was excellent. It’s like Mexican Horchata but different. Where as Mexican Horchata is more watery, Salvadoran horchata is earthier, grittier texture so it’s more filling and you won’t down the drink as fast as you would a rice based one. I didn’t get to try the strawberry one but I’ll do that next time. You can order as many pupusas as you want in any combination. I tried three and my favorite was the spicy one but be warned, it is HOT so make sure to get the optional sour cream with it. The fried plantain empanadas were tasty also. It has a beautiful modern remodel, a beautiful tastefully done bathroom and very friendly staff and you can watch them make the pupusas fresh by hand. The music added to the atmosphere. well done. my only wish is they have guacamole as I think that would complement the pupusas well.

So good! They were recommended to us bc the whole menu is gluten free! We each had a different favorite flavor, so try them all.

Excited to try the pupusas , but was very disappointed I Ordered Mix Ones and it tasted only cheese very Salty and the Cabbage mix was old. Above that The Pupusas here are too expensive. I also bought 2 horchatas to try and they were not good at all , no flavor just horrible Sorry but I don’t recommend this place .

These really are the best pupusas in the Coachella Valley. I just ate at four different pupusa places there in four days. Five03 has the best pupusas— and the weirdest name. The curtido is fabulous: finely shredded, spicy, sweet and tangy. No Tapatio sauce, but no need, because their home-made spicy sauce is wonderful. Coffee is good. (I would like metal silverware instead of plastic, but I carry my own titanium spork, so that’s ok.) What a wonderful place. I even liked the music. I was alone there on Monday morning, and I wish it was full.

In town from Pittsburgh, PA and received a recommendation from a local to come here. It was so good!

Pupusas are one of my favorite foods, so I was exited to try this. My husband got the picante, steak, and chicken and I got chicken and beans. We also got the strawberry agua fresca and a champagne cola. Everything was so delicious and made with care. This place is also affordable and easy, casual dining! Thank you so much. If I’m ever back in Cathedral City I’ll stop by again. 🙂

Great venue for pupusas. It wasn’t to busy on holidays, I ordered the pupusas, all of which came out just about right. The place itself looked clean and brand new.
