Buyer beware! I ordered takeout from this place and when I went to pay at the store, I tapped once and they told me to “tap again.” Assuming the charge did not go through I tapped again and saw that the price went up by $20. I got back to the car and asked my husband if we really ordered that much food and he said no, so he went in to ask about the charge. They told him that I had tapped 15% gratuity (I did not, they told me to tap again). No receipt stapled to our bag, they just blatantly tried to rip us off. Do not recommend and we will never order from here again.

If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience, Firewok is it! Dine-in service is now available, which is great. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by unique interior decor that beautifully captures the essence of ancient China’s dynasties, creating an inviting atmosphere. The plates are not just delicious but also visually stunning, showcasing truly authentic Chinese cuisine. The friendly and attentive staff enhance the warm, welcoming experience. For a memorable meal that combines great food with a touch of history, Firewok is a must-visit!

I really like the decorations and the dining room, but that is not why I am here. I was craving for some Chinese comfort food and was disappointed. I ordered a Chicken with eggplant and garlic sauce. The sauce was off as it was too sweet and then there were pieces of the chicken with a stiff textual like they haven’t cooked well. Usually if it’s over cooked the entire piece of chicken will be hard and stiff. That was not the case. The rice does not taste fresh either. The waitress didn’t even refill my water once, the only saving grace was that they offered to make me another one. Waitress offered me a discount.

It’s an ok place once in awhile, I feel food is over priced for what it is. Once in awhile I would go here, but it’s not a place I’d go consistently. Almost 20 dollars for a single dish? Can order from chowbus at any other chinese restaurant with tip and delivery and it doesn’t come out to this price. So it’s not bad just not a place I can consistently.

Went in for dine in and instantly greeted with wonderful customer service. Very friendly staff and very welcoming. Ordered different types of food like sushi, hot food, and drinks. I just want to say that everything was so good especially the sushi. They also give very good portion sizes. I even had to get a to-go box. Very nice experience at Firewok

One of my favorite places in Potomac Village! Great food, but it is a little expensive. I love their shrimp dishes and their sweet and sour chicken. Their fried rice is a must get as well! I frequently get take out from here and am never disappointed.

Ordered from here on uber eats, received the order half open with the tofu falling out of the box due to the poor tin foil wrapped food. Why was it even wrapped in tin foil when the box cover was in the tin foil, under the box itself??? Gross and unsanitary.
Update: really appreciate firewok responding and explaining the packaging of the food. Tofu was very good and fluffy.

I went in quickly for takeout. I figured the ambience was decent at least in the area for patrons. I loved how they decorated the ceiling with umbrellas. I generally like to see a bit into the kitchen to see how clean it is from what I could see standing by the cashier, it was average but a lot of the back was obscured so I wasn’t sure what I would be getting from the outside ambience alone. I felt like they would likely be hygienic. I didn’t get any weird smells. The tables weren’t sticky or dirty. I figured this is also Potomac area. I should be able to get decent takeout. Boy was I wrong I’ve had comparable food out in the boonies nowhere USA it doesn’t seem authentic at all. I’ve done a better job trying to make chicken pad Thai at my home. Firstly, I told them not to have bean sprouts I’ve seen bean sprouts in there. I’m not sure if they have premade food and they just heated up. The noodles were boiled. They don’t seem like they were lightly sautéed in a walk , they weren’t spicy at all. It was Bland. There was no color to it. I didn’t taste any tamarind. I didn’t really taste any seasoning. There was barely any chicken there again there were beans sprouts and I said not to put bean sprouts it’s a good thing that I wasn’t allergic, but I just don’t like it however I couldn’t eat it. I tried picking it out of my food, but The taste the texture was enough for me to just throw away the $16 bowl of mess.

Buyer beware .. in town on business and ordered uber eats based on reviews and menu photos. Total misrepresentation! I was really looking forward to good Chinese food in such a foodie capital and after waiting over an hour and a half I was sadly disappointed by the quality of ingredients. Gross fast food at best. Silver lining uber refunded me.
