I went in to this location this morning at around 8am and the coffee I received was delightful, the girl who made it even added less ice like i requested. However in my sandwich there were 2 long strands of redish colored hair, because of this I will not be returning.

Very disheartening. I was told by a friend that Providence Bagel had freshly made and baked gluten free bagels daily – I was beyond excited, because normally I have to stock up when I go to NYC. I ordered online ahead of time, and ordered 6 of them to pick up. They were priced “per piece” and were over $1 more expensive than their non-gf counterparts. I pick up my order, and am given a package of previously frozen bagels that I could have purchased from the grocery store for $5. Not freshly baked. Not even baked in this state – shipped from CA. Why am I paying for store-bought bagels by the piece? It really rubbed me the wrong way and I’m sorry to say I will not be back.

First instance: original review Lady who worked (larger) on Wednesday, was kind. She was really sweet

NEXT INSTANCE: was fine bagel had too little cream cheese for3$. Disappointed-1 star

NEXT INSTANCE: went this week and there was a man working who was rude and unkind to the customers. I couldn’t even ask for a bagel without an attitude. Hoping this can be improved for my next monthly visit(treat) -2 star.

Oh and to add- This restaurant was selected for Revise Restaurant Week. You may see an influx’ in customer reviews..

Stale bagels at 8am on a Saturday are not a good sign. Their coffee has always been bad, but at least the bagels were good! Not sure what changed, but it’s disappointing. Used to be worth the high price, not anymore!

Feeling in need of a different breakfast other than my usual oatmeal I stopped into Providence Bagel. What we have here is not just bagels but bagels on steroids with delicious additions. I chose “The Friar” that has a perfect balance of chewiness and softness, like a cloud with a backbone. It’s a huge bagel with the holy trinity of bacon, lettuce and tomato that adds a burst of flavor and a gospel written in sesame seeds.

“The Friar” Bagel isn’t just a breakfast option; it’s a revelation—a testament to the transformative power of carbohydrates and the divine artistry of the bagel-maker. So go ahead, take a bite, and let the culinary enlightenment wash over you. Your taste buds will thank you, and so will your sense of humor. Amen to that!

I went to the Providence Bagel at URI on Wednesday, November 19th at 1:30pm to get the Classic Lox sandwich. I was so excited because it’s one of my favorites and I don’t get it often, but I found THREE long dark hairs in the sandwich when I was eating. Really gross and disappointing. I ended up throwing it away.

Man working today at 11:00 am, EST, the man working was awfully rude and had so much disrespect. he said hold up a few minutes while i was ordering because he was busy. The lady working was very kind but a bit loud. Will not return until changes are made. Food was made subpar, man was also making it too. barely any cream cheese, coffee was fine i guess very very disappointed as it is on my college campus

Despite the delicious food, this place has unfortunately become an absolute no-go. First of all, the prices are exorbitant for what you get, and are always magically a few dollars higher than what you order. For instance, how does a specialty bagel priced at 8 dollars and a medium iced coffee priced at 4 dollars come to 16.50? Best case scenario is negligence, and that the prices have somehow risen 50% since they last decided to update their menu, which already was expensive to begin with.

The experiences with the service have always been positive besides with the manager. Multiple times she has interrupted the cashier who is taking my order and said they can’t make something which I saw other people just get, or that they had every time the manager was not there. In addition, there has been multiple times where the manager has openly berated her employees right in front of me, even when I’m going to the counter to get my order. If it’s uncomfortable for me, I can’t imagine how the employee feels being yelled at over what seems to be very insignificant stuff. Lastly, this place needs a deep clean very badly.

A real shame, because the food is delicious. But not worth the $10 dollar bagels and the baffling service attitude.

Everytime I order they forget something. Today they forgot 3 drinks and also did not put any avocado or spinach on the green Monsta just egg plant sausage and 3 strings of an onion. Food is good but did not get what I ordered until I told them about the drinks and didn’t see they messed up sandwich till I opened it at home. This has happened 3 times :/
