I wouldn’t go back to this bar. I came with a group of three a few weeks ago. We pulled up an unused barstool so we could sit together and the bartender rudely told us that the spot was “reserved” for someone. She didn’t offer to get us a drink either. We just left. Wasn’t worth it. Tons of better options nearby for other small bars. Seems like if you’re not a “regular” they don’t want you there.

Absolutely great place to go have a drink. The place is well kept and very welcoming. The overall atmosphere is a strong mix of “regulars” and anyone that walks in.
My friend and I came here for a couple glasses of wine. The crowd picking the music on the jukebox was great. The volume of the place was great for clearly being a local hotel spot. We were able to talk and drink at our place without distraction while everyone had their fun
Wilson street is well worth the visit. This won’t be my last.

This is the definition of old time bar except for the games. It has a few TV’s for sports but not a sports bar by any stretch. Good cold beer selection and really good staff. This is the kind of place where locals go to hang out and talk about stuff. On Sundays, people bring food and share it for free for the football games. It is small but it has a great atmosphere, especially if you want to enjoy your fellow man/woman. There is a public parking lot nearby and there is a backdoor so you don’t have to walk around to the front. All in all, it’s a great place to get a drink/beer and mingle and talk. We need more places like this and less of BWW.

I wouldn’t go back to this bar. We pulled up a chair and the bartender told us that the spot was reserved for someone. Rude waitress, dirty bar. Tons of better options nearby for other small bars.

Passing through town early Sunday, wanted a cocktail. Picked this place by chance. Got the best Bloody Mary (2), I ever had by bartender Tessa. Could of stayed all day. Great place.

It was an alright place. Kind of divey. I tried to order a beer on tap and they were out. Asked for another and they were out. Asked for another and they said they were having “problems” with that one, so they wouldn’t pour it. Zero hyperbole. Went with a can in the end, and it tasted old. Unfortunately there was no date on the can, but that’s not Wilson St.’s fault. That’s just why I usually got with tap offerings.

Classic Chicagoland/Midwest bar that has wooden countertops, pool, darts, a decent selection of draft beers and importantly “the atmosphere” of regulars and bar staff that keep it welcoming and local. Definitely a keeper.

Not only is this place quaint and fun but the staff is amazing. The beautiful Calli makes the BEST Bloody Mary I’ve ever had. Don’t believe me? Come in and try it!
