We spoke with the owner, Jay, today. This is just the most unique place to have a drink along the many Great Lakes towns we have visited. He told us he is hosting a Jeep club tomorrow, and we wish him the most heeps of well. We all need to visit the Bun Boat to keep these types of unique establishments thriving!

Our little group went of a motorcycle ride just to see this place. We’re from Pennsylvania. Loved the historic vibe of this unique place. Loved how boats dock along side it to get service! We spoke with some of them. Great fun atmosphere. Great view of the harbor and draw bridge too. A big ship was pulling out of the harbor when we were there.

Want to have a beer in a historic setting that can only be achieved by being on the water in an aging but perfectly adorned and weathered boat? This is the place. And the name gives a clue to what you will experience. The owner opened the boat just for the April eclipse and made sure that we were welcomed aboard. Jay has a passion for storytelling, and this boat has seen a lot. You can sit out on the top deck or go below board for a beer. And yes, they do serve Yuengling. Put this on your list of places to see.

Stopped at the Bum Boat for an afternoon refreshment. Owner Jay and Bartender Bri – were very welcoming. Jay (a foody himself), made some wonderful recommendations on local establishments to try for an evening meal. A unique “on the water” experience. A must stop away from the ordinary.
