I really wanted to like House Ramen, but it was honestly disappointing. The board said $18, but it rang up as $20, then I added chicken for $4, and with tax it came out to about $26. For that price, I expected way more flavor.

The broth was pretty bland and lacked depth. It didn’t have that rich, savory, comforting taste you expect from ramen. The $4 chicken add-on tasted like plain rotisserie chicken just placed on top instead of something seasoned or cooked into the broth.

I was genuinely craving ramen and usually finish the whole bowl in one sitting, but I couldn’t even finish this one. Overall, it just wasn’t worth the money.

We went for lunch and had a fantastic time. The noodles were hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend giving this spot a try !

I have lived on emporium lunches over a decade, so after leaving URI, I really didn’t have much desire to go back. But boy, am I glad I tried this place! The food is farm fresh, high quality, and creative. Knowing what local farms and vendors are being used makes me feel good about my choices and honestly tastes so much better than the flash frozen fried options I had in my undergrad years. My go-to are the poke bowl, the pork buns, and crispy tofu. I don’t have pictures of the second two because they immediately got inhaled. ALSO, DOG FRIENDLY AND BYOB?!? YES PLEASE!

Really cool spot! Food was incredible! We ordered the vegan ramen, bean burger, biscuits and gravy, pork belly ramen and killer tofu – all SUPER flavorful and delicious! The food looked as good as it tasted too, impressive presentations. Cool, relaxed atmosphere and personable staff. Definitely going back, finally something different than every other food joint.

If you want to have a real fight with your meal or clear your sinuses, get the Spicy A.F. ramen. Delicious. Small a la carte Bao buns are really tasty as well. Love a place that has solid tofu selection.

Incredible! The sweet and spicy chicken bowl and rice ball are instant favorites. The spice and flavor blend is perfect! Also cozy dine in area.

Stumbled across this place on our way to Newport and stopped in for a quick dinner.

The poke bowls here are amazing! Great fish quality and reasonable prices for the portion size. There was a little too much ginger for my partner in the salmon bowl but I thought it was fine.

Would skip the pork buns next time because the poke bowl alone definitely was enough food.

Great food, I had the ramen and tuna bun. The owner/chef (I think) greeted me with a handshake and was very kind and courteous. The atmosphere was super chill and had great feel good tunes with cool art everywhere. I hope this place does well in the future and gets better and better with time. Too bad I gotta go back to Chattanooga…No Ramen
