I have been wanting to write this for a while. Our first experience with Tony P’s was…….fantastic! The old world flavors mixed with a new world atmosphere. Everything we tried was hands down the best we’ve had since the days of Little Italy in old Baltimore. Pure flavor, genuine people and a setting you can’t wait ro come back to. Just go. Love it. Come back.

The food here was so good! I got the piccata with shrimp and my boyfriend got the chicken parm. Both were large portions, the chicken was so juicy and the shrimp tasted super fresh and cooked perfectly. Sauces were delicious and flavorful. The staff were very friendly and the bar and drinks were exactly what we were looking for.
This place deserves more stars! We almost went to a higher rated Italian place in Mt Airy but so glad we picked this one!
We live in Baltimore but hope to come back to catch a happy hour soon!

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The interior design is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance, with soft lighting, beautiful wood accents, and a relaxed yet sophisticated ambiance that makes you feel right at home.

The food is simply outstanding—authentic Italian flavors with fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced seasonings. The pasta dishes are cooked to perfection, and the seafood options are divine! Every plate is beautifully presented, enhancing the dining experience even more.

The service is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The wine selection is impressive, and the handcrafted cocktails are a must-try. Whether you’re here for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or just a great meal, Tony Pazzo never disappoints.

Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine in a warm, stylish, and welcoming setting. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had the rockfish for my entree and stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. Both were very good. I was still hungry so I tried the figs with goat cheese. That was amazing. The only thing I could suggest would to make the portions a little bigger. I’ll be back to try something else.

Let me start off by saying your waiter is the only reason this got 3 stars, originally I was only going to give it 2. When we walked in we were given very blank stares, my fiancee stated table for 2, still blank stares. No greeting. Finally I looked behind me and realized a bunch of people came in a group and was tryna come in, we tried to move out of the way, but it’s super crowded. Needs more tables or space to put people. Finally they asked us again how many? And we said 2 and they responded “over here” (no sorry for the wait) then being seated our waiter took very good care of us, gave us our complimentary water, when we had been sitting for awhile (still no food, not even the appetizer) he gave us some bread. Gave us more complimentary water, and finally the appetizer. We were so hungry we ate it fast! We had the figs, it wasnt too bad. Then came the food I had their pizza of the day and my fiancee had the lobster Ravioli. The pizza was bad, I tried eating it all but couldn’t. Wayyyy to heavy on the sauce and onions needed to be sliced smaller, toppings falling off pizza as soon as picked up. And the edges of pizza burnt to a crisp on one side. I got burnt crumbs everywhere. The waiter could tell I wasn’t happy, I asked for the check fast. He knew something was wrong. He tried to say “it’s brick oven pizza” I’ve had brick oven, not a problem in past. He apologized, and when he came back with our check he removed the pizza, it was very kind of him. As for the lobster Ravioli, it was an interesting sauce, fiancee wasn’t a fan, I personally didn’t mind it. However on the way home I had to pull over 3 times for my fiancee to puke, he says it “tastes like shellfish” the only shellfish he had was shrimp in the lobster Ravioli, and ofc the lobster in the ravioli. Needless to say I personally won’t be coming back for a while.

Wow! Mount Airy needed a nicer restaurant and Tony Pazzo delivered. The ambiance is so pretty and we love the bar. We had the orange crush ($8) and pazzo mojito ($11) both which were delicious. I got the bolognese ($24) and my husband got the Alfredo ($29) and they were phenomenal. The pasta was fresh and had a good bounce and the portion size was great. Can’t wait to go back and try the pizzas!

Update: we’ve been back a few times and enjoyed all their other dishes (including the pizza and their happy hour menu!) The Belgian chocolate mousse and tiramisu are heavenly. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Update #2: town politics are affecting my view of this place. Probably will not be back for a bit until things are sorted out.

Delicious and unique dishes, an extensive wine list, and classic cocktails (some with a twist!), all served in a beautiful and modern space that feels warm, inviting, and cozy! The crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms were superb, and the Spiced Old Fashioned was perfect for a cold and snowy evening. The atmosphere of Main Street at the holidays took the entire experience to another level! Highly recommend for happy hour, a couples evening out, or even a special event! Can’t wait to dive deeper into the entrees and cocktails on our return trip!

ORDER YOUR PIZZA ELSEWHERE!
I try to support local business in Mount Airy, but this is the one place that has failed consistently and will no longer get my business. Their pizzas have progressively gotten worse every time I have tried it. I took a break from ordering for about 6 months due to bad quality food but decided to give it one more shot. That was a mistake. If a place is going to charge $20 for a one topping pizza, at least make a decent pizza. I ordered a pepperoni pizza last night for carry out. What I got was one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had. 10% of the pizza was burnt to a crisp and the remaining 90% was an undercooked slop. It was so undercooked that they couldn’t even cut the pizza.

If you want pizza, avoid this place at all possible. You’re better off ordering from one of the many chains in town or driving out of town.

This is exactly what every restaurant should be. We dined here for the first time tonight, and this recently opened restaurant is already a well oiled machine. They were busy, as every restaurant should hope to be, but managed it extremely well. The food and service were both exceptional. We were seated well under the 15 minutes expected when we arrived. Our glasses were never empty. The wait staff was attentive but not overbearing. Our server knew the menu and made excellent recommendations. Two gentlemen, who I assume were owners or managers, checked on us a couple of times. The stuff mushrooms, chicken piccata, seafood ravioli, and tiramisu were as good as any I have ever had. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed, but not loud, suitable for both families and romantic dinners. We look forward to dining here regularly now. Job well done to the entire staff.
