This place is stupendous.
I have been here quite a few times and to be honest I’ll be back even more.
The Quality: Sushi Haru is special in quality to me as I noticed the sushi chef actually put a small amount of Wasabi under the Salmon Nigiri which is a nice touch that I miss in the mass majority of sushi restaurants I have been to in Florida and across America. The ingredients taste excellent and the quality is not lacking in any aspect. It’s legitimate.
The price: the prices are hard to beat and I have sampled literally every single sushi restaurant of the north and south Dale Mabry, and most waters and Citrus and the prices are on point while also maintaining excellent quality. Their special 1 dollar Nigiri is absolutely amazing and 3, 4 and 5 dollar rolls can get you insanely full for a cheap budget! I would recommend the new crunch roll as a place to start off!
The atmosphere: The atmosphere in Sushi Haru is a small and cozy setting that has nice touches to it to make it feel warm and welcoming. It’s not ultra modern and loud in design. It’s perfect for both decently sized gatherings and personal/intimate one on one diners. It’s not massive, but to me, that’s what makes it special.
The Service: I’m seeing a lot of reviews in about the female owner’s demeanor and attitude. It’s simply not true, in my experience, she is actually very excellent at getting you your food quickly, and correct… the first time. The communication between the two is excellent and my order is never made wrong or incorrect. So take that how you will. I think they are both wonderful at what they do.
In conclusion, I would recommend this place to anyone and I do frequently. I’m leaving this detailed review as this place deserves it as it’s excellent and sets a good standard.

We’ve been coming here for years and this place is far and above better than any of those over priced so-called high end sushi places in South Tampa. It’s family owned and operated and always offers super fresh sushi and hard to believe prices. I’m not sure why there isn’t a line out the door for their Sushi Happy Hour, but happy we don’t have to wait.

Wow, this place is an absolute gem. If you want sushi this is the place to come. They have so many great rolls and the amount you get is incredible. The prices are cheap and the atmosphere inside is relaxing and quaint. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi. Also they have Happy Hour everyday 5pm- 7pm $3 sushi rolls. This place is 100% better than Sushi Alive across the street. I will be coming here for a long time.

Great food and great prices. I’ve been here several times and they do not disappoint. This time we ordered in and had it delivered from Uber Eats. The food was perfect. It was great because I had family in town who were picky sushi eaters, so when everything was spot on they were impressed. Thank you, Sushi Haru! Will be ordering again from you soon.
The Halloween roll was all of our favorite from what we ordered this last time. I also love their seaweed salad. It’s amazing!

I’ve been a patron of this quaint little sushi shop for over 10 years, and I would pass 25 other sushi places to get to them! They are always very nice and the sushi is the best this side of Tokyo! Be sure to pay attention to their special rolls that are off-the-menu. The Rachael Roll is Super Awesome! 🙂

Food was good. I didn’t expect dumplings to come with my teriyaki chicken and they were great. Sushi was well done and very tasty. Only downside is the bland ambiance. For the price, I’d expect the place to be a little nicer. Good service.

I go for happy hour sushi. I think its $3-$4 a roll between 5-7 if im correct. $10 minimum for happy hour. No take home. Food quality is fantastic, good portions.

I walked in with a friend for a pick up/to go order and the lady at the front told us no dine in and returned to gossiping on the phone. She didn’t ask why we came in and I wouldn’t mind if she instructed us place the order online or do a call in but she couldn’t be bothered to. So, I’m not obliged to return nor recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Google seems to have mysteriously removed my review and I can only attribute it to the algorithm or the restaurant’s owner.
My review isn’t a smear, I’m not review bombing and I’m not a bot. I called out poor customer service and a seemingly borderline discriminatory practice because no one deserves to be treated in a dehumanizing way.

Rude and overpriced. I was not given the happy hour pricing. I was seated at 5:45pm and ordered within 5 minutes which should have been within the happy hour. Sushi is not very good either.
