My photo does no justice to the Russian rye bread I grabbed at Heinen’s in Strongsville.
I was standing in the bread aisle not really sure what I wanted when a kind gentleman stocking the Reinecker’s Bakery shelves suggested I try it.
OMG. Absolutely amazing.
I found their Facebook page and realized they’re a bit of a drive, but as a carbs carbs carbs fan, I may need to travel for more bread and their pretzels too
Grateful for the simple nudge to try something new.

This is bread, simply the best, and second to none.
Having visited Germany, tasted bread by bakers who specialized in nothing else, Reinecker’s is of that superior quality. The Westphalisches Pumpernickel is exceptional, and all others I found sold in Ohio as “pumpernickel” is a cheap counterfeit to this authentic bread sold by Reinecker’s. Eat it alone, or with other hearty meats or cheeses, will not disappoint.

I just found this perfect bakery, I have only had three different items from here so far but oh boy is it all delicious and made by hand and with old world care. I purchased some rye bread that is so delicious and heavy it will blow your mind. Real substance behind all of this delicious food! I can’t wait to make more trips back to this place!!!! Do yourself a favor and check this place out come early for the best of the best and choice pickings of delicious bakery

I love quirky old bakeries with a great reputation and thought I’d order my husband’s birthday cake there two days before. The person in charge of cakes who took my order did not seem happy about my ordering two days before it was needed, so I recommend ordering several days before. They don’t do quarter sheets so I ordered the next smallest—a 10” 3-layer round. I asked if they have almond flavored cake and butter cream icing, but she said that she would only do a pudding whipped cream blend frosting (that ended up tasting like it had been sitting in the bakery a little too long). The cake was 60% frosting, 40% cake. It had a decent strawberry filling. The cake person was very unfriendly and never made eye contact. There was no price sheet so I was shocked when she seemed to just throw out the price of 50 bucks. I expected to pay $30-40. Nobody in the family liked the taste of the cake at all—thought it tasted “weird”. I was so disappointed. I was hoping to start giving my business to this little hole-in-the-wall family bakery instead of our local grocery chain, but never again.

If you have never stopped here, go! The bread and pastry is unbelievable. I personally love the rye bread and cinnamon rolls. It’s a bakery, so the atmosphere is just that.
