We stopped by Ground & Toasted during our road trip through Utah, and honestly, it was one of the best unexpected food experiences of the trip.
We ordered the Hot Honey & Pear toast, a panini, and a bread bowl soup — everything was outstanding. The bread especially deserves recognition. They bake it in-house, and you can actually see the baking space behind the kitchen, which explains the incredible texture, chewiness, and flavor. You can really taste the difference compared to typical café bread.
The café itself is beautiful and cozy, blending perfectly with the surrounding scenery. It felt like a peaceful stop in the middle of an already amazing landscape.
What truly made the experience memorable was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, energetic, and welcoming. After hearing about our travel route, one of the staff members even shared some of their favorite nearby spots — and we’re planning to visit them next.
We didn’t expect such a standout experience, but we’re really glad we stopped here. Highly recommended if you’re passing through Duck Creek Village or heading toward Zion.

I live in Cedar City, Ground and Toasted is worth the drive! The food is truly amazing, the muffins, the sandwiches the coffee… especially the fresh made that day sourdough bread!!! The atmosphere is relaxing and feels more like visiting awesome friends and having great food! The attention to detail is amazing, everything made with the freshest ingredients, they even slice there own meat. I could taste the difference in my toasted pastrami double meat sandwich. Everything was so good we got goodies to go for at home! Thank you Ground and Toasted, will be back and bringing friends!!

Absolutely the best and cutest coffee house. We were staying nearby in Glendale and this was the perfect place to stop before going to Bryce. The ladies are so sweet and friendly too. We had delicious avocado toast and the sourdough bread is amazing. The cinnamon roll was maybe the best I’ve ever had too. Definitely visit!

“Bakery” doesn’t begin to capture what this place is, though it is that, in part. If you come here for the bakery part of it, you won’t be disappointed. The sourdough is amazing, and the other baked goods looked amazing. If you come here for the coffee–I can say it’s the best coffee I’ve ever had out somewhere. If you come here for the sandwiches–they are so fresh, delicious, and huge. If you come here for the vibe, the ambience, the décor, the merch, the energy–well you chose the perfect place, so find your favorite seat (plenty to choose from).
Ground & Toasted is the kind of place you drive 90-min one-way to just have coffee or lunch. The owners and staff are all amazing, inspiring people who will single-handedly restore your faith in humanity (or just make you coffee if that’s your thing). If you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet the amazing owners Brandy and Randy, who somehow managed to bring into existence my new favorite coffee shop/bakery on the planet. Bravo.

If you’re in Duck Creek Village, do yourself a favor and stop at Ground & Toasted! This spot is an absolute treasure. Their bread selection alone is worth the visit — everything from classic sourdough to the most incredible jalapeño cheddar sourdough, plus beautifully made focaccia.
Their food menu is just as unforgettable. We tried Randy’s Jam, which is this perfect mix of avocado, cilantro, red onion, jalapeño, lime, and a touch of sea salt… truly amazing. We also had the Hot Honey & Pear Toast, topped with hot honey, prosciutto, pear, pistachios, cream cheese and of course delicious sourdough — and honestly, I could eat that every single day for breakfast or lunch. The flavors are unreal.
Their drink selection is fantastic too. My absolute favorite was the blueberry matcha iced latte — unlike anything I’ve ever had before. I loved it so much I went back for it three times while I was in town!
They also have a variety of daily pastries. From muffins, coffee cake, sourdough chocolate chip cookies and more. Its all just yummy.
Between the incredible flavors, the cozy atmosphere, and the friendliest service, Ground & Toasted is an absolute must-visit. Support local and treat yourself — you won’t regret it! ☕️

My Family and visited this coffee & bakery shop in the village and left there being huge fans. The shop is so cute. Everything we tried was Ah-Mazing!!!! Our only regret was not trying them till our last day. We took so many goodies home.
Everything was delicious, from the coffee to the loaf of sourdough we took home and all the pastries.
Cannot wait to come back!
