Grilled cheese- loaded with the right amount of bacon jam. Had a really good salty sweet flavor profile.
Clover & sage cocktail- amazing drink
Butter tart- tasted just like pecan pie.. I could eat a dozen of these
I sat at the bar and asked the woman working there if it was okay to sit even if I wasn’t ordering alcohol, and she was so kind. She said, “Of course you can sit here! You don’t have to order food or coffee just stay as long as you like.” That immediately made me feel comfortable.
I ordered a cardamom latte and a warmed lemon blueberry scone (around $14), and both were incredible. The coffee was smooth, the flavors were perfect and rich, and the scone was delicious. I stayed for about two and a half hours to finish some work and loved every minute.
The staff were genuinely friendly and the vibes were amazing. I visit cafés often in both Toronto and Buffalo, and this one really stands out, the energy here just makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. Can’t wait to come back and try their brunch menu!
We ordered a peach jam and prosciutto sandwich, chai, and Earl Grey tea. The sandwich tasted great, and the drinks were solid.
The service was welcoming. We ordered at the counter, sat at a table, and they brought our food and drinks to us.
The atmosphere is unique, considering the cafe is situated inside a building with other businesses. It is very lively, maybe a bit too lively and cramped for me personally.
My only real issue is that a sandwich and two drinks came out costing $33. Although there was nothing wrong with the quality, I’m not sure I’m ready to spend that much again.
For starters, their lattes are frankly the best I’ve had bar none! Of the 4 I have had from here every single one came out perfectly tempted, the foam a perfect bouncy and light consistency, yet clearly defined and separate atop the coffee. They also have a wide variety of delicious and homemade syrups, with rotating seasonal flavors as well as truly delicious staples (the cardamom and the lavender are to die for).
I genuinely cannot say enough great things about the service here! I have had a different person cash me out and a different person make my latte all 4 times I have been there and every single time my server is so kind and warm that I leave the interaction with a smile! Everyone has been so nice, personable, and welcoming!
The atmosphere is yet another way Cafe Bewilderment stands out from most cafes I have been to. The Cafe is in the lower section of a small business complex, the aesthetic is a very whimsical yet calming blend of earthy plant life and artsy marble, creating a unique and bold, yet somehow also cozy feeling.
I could seriously talk about how much I love this spot all day! I didn’t even go into the food, which is also really tasty. Bravo to the owner and everyone who works there, and thank you so much for being the pieces that make up my favorite cafe I have ever been to!
