I mean, it was fine! One of the more affordable options at the SteelCraft. It was simple onigiri! Rice was warm and a good texture, which was appreciated. The fillings were just okay in flavor. The truffle soy sauce definitely helped a lot (for $1.99 extra). Overall, not a must try! But it was a good snack while im the area.

A hidden gem that is actually well hidden! My wife and I stopped by OniGuru and each tried four different Onigiri flavors. The flavors were fun, delicious, and filled us up! Luckily, we arrived on Labor Day, so the line was non-existent, thus it took under five minutes for our food to arrive.

This place is a modest sized booth inside a shared common area meant for gatherings and business events. Definitely don’t be intimidated by the parking nor the view from Google Maps.

I would definitely visit again and wish Houston had a similar establishment!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious, the place was clean and welcoming, but what truly stood out was the owner. Such a kind, respectful, and professional person who genuinely cares about his customers.
You can really feel the passion and dedication in every detail. I highly recommend this place — not just for the great food, but also for the warm hospitality. Definitely coming back again!

Stumbled upon this place with serendipity! They had a happy hour special for three onigiris. All were huge and delicious. Recommend the tuna mayo and teriyaki salmon. I am taking a date here next time!

Food – I tried the vegan onigiri with a side of their wasabi. The flavor profile is decent for a veg meal and they definitely get credit for having veggie options (unlike competitors like Tenori) however it tasted fairly bland with the most notable flavor being from the soybeans. The constitution of the onigiri was fragile and it fell apart while trying to eat which is a weakness of what’s supposed to be a meal eaten by hand. I think it’s overstuffed and would benefit from a better balance of flavor to mass profile. The wasabi tastes like bote wasabi though I wasn’t expecting much better.

Service – good, no notes. It’s a food hall style order and pickup when your buzzer rings. Very nice workers.

Ambiance – being in Steelcraft, this place was bound to have amazing ambiance.

These onigiri were average. The seaweed paper was very wet and no longer crispy. I had to aggressively rip the seaweed paper with my teeth while eating, because the seaweed was so wet and would not easily tear.

we asked if the food came with soy sauce, the worker said no. so we begrudgingly bought $2 truffle soy sauce.

when we went to pick up our order, there were soy sauce packets available. got straight up scammed.

it was pretty good but not that much meat. you can definitely make this at home for a quarter of the price.
