We are so happy to have Bushwood Tavern in the neighborhood. Our family came here a few weeks ago and had a delicious burger and great pizza. We came again tonight for fish fry and it was DELISH! This cozy Northwoods bar has great food, a good tap list, and fast, friendly service. Our bartender and server Mary is the best!

4 stars because it needs to be, not an overly upity place. Food is great, had the burger and fries and it was great. Really wanted the homemade bbq pulled pork but it wasn’t on special. The staff is really nice, family owned and operated. As far as drinks go, it looks like a pretty normal selection including some Wisconsin labels you don’t see in most states. A couple of slots and pull tabs if that’s your thing. For a down to earth good place to grab a bite and a beer (or cocktail) it has it all. 100% recommend it but will not give it 5 stars only because it would, in my opinion, be disrespectful to the establishment.

Had the 1/3 burger with all the fixings lettuce tomato pickle and onion with home cut fries without seasoning. The burger was hot and tasted like it was fresh and hand made. Very good. The bun complimented the juicy burger. The extras were fresh served on the side in the wire basket. The fries were hot and tasty and homesite.The cost $12. Could have had a few more of the fries for the price but overall it was tasty. I liked the small qauint setting, the deer and musky mounts with the history of the resort of yrs gone by. If your looking for the nouveau fancy stay home. It is easy and simple of what the Northwoods was at one time and is real food real service real people in pub style. DA COOK and young bartender were friendly even though it was busy at the bar.The pizza looked fantastic served to another customer. When I am in the area fishing. Or hunting I will stop again or just watch the packers.
