I visited this brewery with my mother twice last week on October 2nd and 4th, we had an amazing time both days. We were personally welcomed at our table by a man (who we assume was the owner or manager) and it was five star experience up until we left. We had a great server named Julie (attentive and friendly). To eat we had the maple chicken sandwich with barbecue fries and tempura shrimp with Parmesan fries. My mother really enjoyed her shrimp and my sandwich was incredible!! The Parmesan fries were finger licking good. My mom really enjoyed the craft beer she got as well. On this day there was a live performer (singing and playing the guitar) we had such a good time.
On our second day here I ate the same burger but had the Parmesan fries instead (I like them way better than the barbecue ones) and my mother opted for a chicken pesto wrap. On Saturday we got to enjoy our meal outside by the water and the weather was perfect, we left happy customers again. I feel like the prices were reasonable. I can’t wait to visit again!!

Location and atmosphere are amazing. Tunes outside were nice. Beer was great.
Service was good, waitress came back to the table several times, but always seemed in a rush.

A fun, historic building just off the Grasse river in downtown Massena! The beer selection was excellent and the food was incredible. The service was fantastic and the place was packed! I had the smoked pork burnt ends Mac and cheese and it was a have again!!

I had the French Onion Soup and the Maple Burger. They were cooked perfectly. The waitress was helpful in making great recommendations. One of the owners, Bill, took the time to stop and chat about the different brews. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We will be back again.

Atmosphere was chill and the staff were attentive and friendly. Wait times on the entree was a bit long though all food items tasted good. Prices were expected for the class of restaurant. View of the river was spectacular.

Went there as a group from work. Service was friendly and prompt, great sense of humour. I had the Maple Bacon Burger with fries and it was exceptional. Crispy bacon, burger cooked beautifully, fries cooked and seasoned to perfection. All in all, a great outing in a beautiful space.

I’ve been twice now and ate in and on the patio. I had some delicious food. The restaurant is beautifully designed. Patio is definitely a great choice with a view of the water. It feels like more of a restaurant than a brewery. We’re going to look into possibly renting the place as a venue as well.

This was our first visit, but will not be our last!! Beautiful rustic/industrial decor. Scenic location on Grass River (I can’t wait to enjoy a tasty craft beer on the patio this summer).

I quite like the place, but honestly the burger was way overdone. Another person at my table ordered the French onion soup, and it was a bit small for $10. The beer is great, and I’ve had the specials previously and those were great, so maybe I just ordered wrong. Still better than anything else nearby though

This was our first time eating at the Gristmill Brewery. What a breath of fresh air for this community. The building itself is beautiful. Walking up to it, I was blown away by the craftsmanship of the wooden doors and brick exterior. Inside was more of the beautiful brick and large wooden beams. We had the Octoberfest draft, and it was delightful. The food was topnotch. I had the shrimp salad and baked french onion soup. Every bite of the salad was amazing, as was the flavor of the french onion soup. My husband had the Chipotle Chicken Flatbread, he said it was great. I can attest to this since I couldn’t help but steal a piece, and 100% agreed! The bartender was quick and friendly! We had a fantastic experience and will be back to enjoy this hidden gem!
