Slightly below average Mexican food. The tacos are fine (carne asade too fatty), frijoles fine, arroz not very good. The service was great, great young lady at the counter. Price is a bit too high for what you’re getting in return.
That being said, I’m not familiar with the MKE mexican food scene. Taco Pros may very well be as good as the reviews say compared to alternatives in the area, but, simply put, if you’re looking for an establishment where Mexicans will go to eat Mexican food, it is not here.

Truth is truth — one of the worst meals I’ve had
I tried Taco Pros on Wells Street and honestly, this place felt like a fake version of real Mexican food. I ordered the Signature Bowl and it was terrible — the taste was off, the ingredients didn’t seem fresh, and it had none of the flavor you expect from true Mexican cooking.
On top of that, the guy behind the counter had a bad attitude and acted like he didn’t care at all. Really rude service.
This was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. I don’t care what anyone says — truth is truth. If you want real Mexican food and decent service, this isn’t the place.

Taco Pros is an absolute gem and a perfect addition to the neighborhood! The customer service is top tier, the attention to detail is excellent, the menu has fresh ingredients and is always well executed!! When I order to go I feel so well taken care of and everything is packaged so perfectly, plus the food travels really well. They’re also open late on the weekends and they serve alcohol to boot! This place is awesome and checks every box!

I had an amazing experience with this taco pros! The customer service was top-notch, and the food and drinks exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality food and drinks and excellent service.”

This appetizer consisted of tortilla chips, lettuce, tomatoes, melted chihuahua cheese, beans, guacamole, and sour cream.
Protein options are available for an additional charge, the options were steak, chicken, barbacoa, shrimp, pork, ground beef, and veggies.
I picked steak as my protein options.
The chips to topping ratio was balanced.
The portion size was just enough for 1 adult.
The pricing for the appetizer was very reasonable.
Overall, the appetizer was decent. While there’s nothing special, flavor wise, to make this a go to order, the quantity over quality and appetizer pricing makes it a decent option.
I would order it again.

It’s not a bad place. Simple small menu, but tasty options. 7 protein options (veggie being one) I tried the $7.99 lunch special, 2 tacos any meat & a can soda or “pop” for the fibs. I didn’t think that was a bad price, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the tortillas STUFFED with the barbacoa i ordered, cilantro and onions. Their “hot” salsa isn’t really hot, but it is flavorful. The barbacoa was good, the service was really good, and the food came out quick. Smaller interior place, kinda plain, but very new looking. Overall, I would recommend and try it again myself.

Nice new fast casual option for Marquette and West Side of Downtown. Al Pastor was good and salsa / hot sauces with the tacos were all great. Friendly staff and inexpensive. I know it’s a chain, but it’s definitely an upgrade over fast food and not expensive.

the food is ok. Not authentic, but enjoyable. but they have the audacity to give 1 tiny cup of salsa that isn’t even enough for 1 taco then charge for another. I’d rather go to an authentic Mexican restaurant if I’m going to paying for stuff that should come with my meal . I will probably not be going back as there are other options within walking distance and authentic Mexican options less than a 10 min drive away.

This place is very good. I have been here twice already and both times were excellent. Probably the quickest tacos in the area amd the tastiest. Workers are extremely nice, don’t go to Qdoba when this place is literally up the street. They also have great lunch deal and dinner deal. Where else can you get a two 3 taco dinner for 20 bucks. Only wish is if they had fountain beverages for us heavy drinkers.

This has been my favorite taco spot downtown the last couple of months, but this visit was the worst. The lady at the register had the most horrible customer service I’ve ever had. It’s not that she was mean or anything, but it’s almost as if they just pulled someone off the streets to do the gig.

Waited 35 mins for my pickup order and it was the most bland mexican food i’ve ever tasted. Literally tasted like they opened a can and dumped it in my bowl uncooked
