While I love the coffee and usually the pastries, the last two visits were disappointing. The Napoleon slice I purchased had very stiff, rubbery cream and was difficult to cut. In my experience, a well-made Napoleon should have crisp, flaky pastry and smooth, creamy filling that cuts and bites cleanly. When I asked about the texture, I was dismissed rather than helped, in fact, the woman behind the counter with two young children on her hips called me honey and told me she was offended that I told her the pastry was terrible. Great customer service there. The woman who served us was in quite a mood, throwing dishes in the sink and slamming tables around.

The week before, my mini éclair was visibly wet and dripping, which made the shell soggy. I’ve never seen an eclair actually drip with condensation.

We usually buy boxes to bring home to family and were ready to purchase more, but the interaction was curt enough that we chose to leave. I hope this improves.

Worked in Somerset today & knew I had to make a couple of Portuguese stops on my way home First stop — Barcelos Bakery in Fall River! I grabbed a bifana sandwich, chicken croquette, stuffed quahog, sweet bread, & of course, a pastel de nata. Haven’t made it through everything yet, but what I have tried was delicious!

Just went to this bakery for the first time . Oh.my.God. The atmosphere is amazing , and the amount of choices they have is to die for. The tiramisu was phenomenal!! I can’t wait to go back and try something else . And the best part?? It was sooooo cheap!!!

I always enjoy my visits to Barcelos. As someone who is Portuguese, it’s great to find a place that offers authentic Portuguese baked goods. The coffee is pretty good as well.

I came in today for the first time 7.12.25 and this bakery is so Beautiful so many lovely treats, bread, and sandwiches! I was Floored! It is very pretty decorated, the girls are very nice and helpful. People were forming lines quickly my boyfriend and I ordered 2 boxes of a variety of baked goodies from powdered cream French horns, strawberry shortcakes, tiramisu, s’mores cake, etc. This will definitely not be my only visit as this place has so much to offer. Clean, and display is full of great baked treats! Plenty of seating and kid friendly.

Very beautiful bakery. The hot and cold coffees are amazing. I got a mocha chocolate cappuccino and it did not have that mocha syrup crap. It Ansari had caco on it. The pasta del Natas ate. The one with Nutella was so filled and so good. Chocolate chip and m^m cookies also ateee. Definetly a spot i will forever go back to.

Went to Barcelos Bakery for the fresh sweetbread and they did not disappoint. I had called prior to see if they had the coconut sweetbread and was told it’s available on Sunday hence 4 Stars for food. My wife liked the tiramisu like I stated in the comment section of the photo. Would have been a perfect score if not for missing a menu item that’s on the menu.

Every single thing I tried here was amazing, from the pastries to the coffee. Mocha Latte was perfectly delicious and the chocolate croissant was absolutely perfect. Not too sweet while still being extremely chocolate!! The Nata’s are wonderful, and probably one of their best sellers. If you are from the south and love buttermilk pie … this is for you!!

What an amazing place this is. Early Sunday morning, this place was buzzing. Tables full with patrons enjoying breakfast, with a line out the door waiting for service. Very organized and an incredible selection of baked goods. You could come here every day for a year and try something different and delicious. I left with a wonderful box of goodies.

I have been to this bakery twice. I come from a português family and I hate to think this is a representation of the Portuguese culture. The pastry’s were so so, the coffee is ok. The service was terrible both times. There is no signage so you don’t know where to order or where the line starts. I ordered a piece of pie the employee couldn’t find what I asked so I had to point out what I wanted and she stated that she didn’t even know they had it. Then she didn’t even know the prices of the products. The employees are not pleasant at all they serve like they are doing you a favor. Definitely will not be going back and do not recommend anyone visiting.
