Built my own bowl with pitaya base, granola, blueberries, mango, and kiwi slices, topped with almond butter and cacao nibs!
Will absolutely order this again. Flavor explosion of healthy fats and antioxidants. I like to “eat the rainbow,” as they say. And this is a perfect place to do it. Competitively priced with other smoothie bowl places like Southern Pressed and CoCo Bowls.
Lots of basic, but fun greenery decorations provide a jungle vibe. Bathroom was in good working order and clean.
Highly recommend if you’re on the north end of Main Street in downtown GVL looking for a fun, tasty, healthy pick me up.
For starters, a 2 scoop bowl cost me $16 before tip? I thought that price was outrageous, considering I’ve had better quality for cheaper in other poke bowl restaurants and in other states. The “sushi” rice was extremely dry and their “ponzu” sauce was actually soy sauce, which isn’t a preference of mine. It threw me off entirely. And the to-go bowls provided simply aren’t big enough for easy mixing since my sauce was separate (that I didn’t ask for).
I also had gone in on a slow time, aka just myself in the restaurant, and it took about 20 minutes for two girls to make my bowl. I’m not sure if they were working on online orders, but I was disappointed in how long it took.
Overall, it tasted alright but it’s not worth the price. I might try the actual sweet bowls next time for a 2nd chance. Go get poke elsewhere.
