This place is such a great find. I didn’t expect the restaurant to be connected to a hotel so I was pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. I definitely recommend making a reservation if possible as the seating is limited due to the small space. We had drinks, appetizers with our meal and we could not have been more satisfied. I highly recommend the crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer, wild mushroom melt and Pittsburgh plunge sandwich. The service, atmosphere, and food were all amazing. Only negative is that we had to sit with our purses on our laps due to the small table tops (which isn’t that big of a problem). Would definitely recommend this place.

Overall nice place, neat atmosphere and vibe, calm and quiet inside. The food was good but lacked in some ways. The chips and salsa were really great, the salsa tasted really fresh and homemade. My husband had French onion soup which was also great. My husband had steak which was really fatty, and tough to eat. It was a huge steak with a lot of bbq sauce slathered on it. It was definitely not a steak I would expect to come out of the kitchen, especially after the good appetizers. The mashed potatoes and carrots that came with the steak were excellent, so I’m not sure why the steak was subpar and very fatty. He was unable to eat most of it, which is disappointing for the price.
I had a mushroom melt which was good, but it was just on a single slice of bread, not a sandwich or traditional melt like I thought it would be. The menu eluded it would be hand held, since it was in the hands section. The service was good and our waiter was nice and friendly. We didn’t have drinks, but the drinks sounded and looked good. If they did better on the steak, this place would be out of the park good!

I LOVE the atmosphere of this place!
I think Pittsburgh is lacking restaurants with a nice design style like that.
In our time restaurant is not only a place to eat, but also an aesthetic place where people can enjoy spending time.
The menu didn’t have a big variety of choices, but the dish ( I believe it was Chef’s cut beef) I end up having was really good.

We had a wonderful time last night at The Rebel Room! It was smaller than we expected but it was a great atmosphere, very cozy lighting. The drinks were amazing! The meat and cheese board we had was also a highlight of the trip.
Our main course was just okay. Not bad, but nothing special. I got the wedge salad, which had a really spicy chipotle dressing and a little blue cheese on it with bacon, red onions and a few tomatoe wedges. I couldn’t eat my first one because of how spicy it was, but they made me a new one, with just blue cheese dressing and I ate that one and enjoyed it. My husband had the crab cakes and enjoyed them. But, like I said, the meat and cheese board was so yummy!
My recommendation is this would be a great spot for drinks and appetizers with friends before heading to do something else! ❤️❤️

This place gets 3 stars out of 5 because:
(1) It’s brand new and we need to see improvement, always (2) We got TO GO because we couldn’t be served on the second floor of the hotel. This spot is very “boutique” in service. (3) The lounge was comfortable and quiet, we enjoyed the lower lighting and lower seating.
I’ll be back with friends soon, and look forward to editing this review over the months to share updates about how #LGBTQIA friendly the location stands and if service picks up as they become more established downtown here in Pittbsurgh.
The Lobster Gnocchi is photographed in the TO GO container and was delicious, but mild and room temperature by the time it made its way to us. Happy Eating, Picky Eaters!!

Had such a great brunch experience today! First, the atmosphere and vibe are so swank and cozy that you’ll never want to leave. Our server (did not get her name, dark haired older woman) was so knowledgeable and welcoming, made us feel at home. Also told us a bit of interesting history about the building.

Absolutely will be back!

My husband and I came in on an evening. It was a seat yourself set up. The drinks were good. The atmosphere is nice. I went through the pictures and from what I saw I decided on the salmon and my husband chose the chicken. The food was very underwhelming in flavor. I did not taste any flavors the description gave on my salmon. Food was very basic. It seemed like they were understaffed so we didn’t get a chance to get refills on water or another round of drinks. This would be a place to visit if you’d just want to sit at the bar and chill.

Small space with big flavor and great service. The best arnachini I have had, food was fresh and prices were fair – although the crab cakes were just okay. Cool place.

Fantastic experience – from the service to the food. Everything we ate was delicious and the bar staff were super friendly. Very neat decor. A few side and salad options for vegetarians, but otherwise limited veggie options. Check this place out!
