Reviews
The sushi here is unbelievably fresh. Respect to the chefs! The fish is pristine, the rice cooked to perfection, and the plates are absolutely beautiful. These rolls aren’t just delicious — they’re works of art. The sauces interact with each other in a way that’s almost magical, and the flavor of the fish is just unbelievable. Every bite is a delight to the mouth and a feast for the eyes at the same time. I’ve tried plenty of sushi places across South Florida over the years, and I genuinely haven’t found anything that comes close. The quality is consistent every single time, which is rare and says a lot about how they run things.
The staff, many of them have been there for years, is always friendly, warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing and always willing to help you choose the perfect roll according to your taste. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a regular, even if it’s been a while since your last visit.
Yes, it can get a little pricey, especially if you go for the specialty rolls. But those specialty rolls are something you simply won’t find anywhere else around here. You’re not just paying for sushi, you’re paying for an experience that’s genuinely one of a kind in this area.
If you’re in South Florida and you haven’t been to Sushi Simon, do yourself a favor and go. And if you have been — you already know why people keep coming back.
The sweetest staff, I’ve been coming here since I was 12 and the food has always been top notch
Family run business
A little pricy but the fish quality is worth the price
Ate dinner there last night and I was floored by the bill when it came out. The restaurant has a unique business strategy where they have roughly 15-20 sushi rolls listed on a separate menu all with price listed as “MP” or market price. I didn’t feel the need to inquire about price prior to ordering, because I assumed that even with top quality fish, I wouldn’t see a price above $25-30. Even at the most high-end restaurants I’ve eaten at around the world, I have genuinely never paid more than maybe $30 for a role -unless the roll included fresh caught lobster. In the case of last night, we ordered 4 sushi rolls and 2 were off the “MP” menu. One roll had hamachi, the other snapper as the main fish content.
The sushi and fish quality was amazing, no doubt. Fresh, delicious, high quality. However, when the bill came out and it was $35 each per those two rolls -I was utterly shocked. This is egregious and now, I won’t be back unfortunately. $70 for 2 rolls; absolutely absurd. This is Boynton Beach, FL. We’re not at a five-star high end resort somewhere. Know your audience and your surroundings as a business.
On top of that, the servers were extremely pushy and were trying to rush us as well -totally unprofessional especially considering the price of the food. Truthfully, I would love a refund for this considering the price… let’s see what the owners have to say when they read this. And a direct message to the owners: treat your customers with respect, price gouging and over charging in this economy and environment is completely over the top and now you’ve lost a customer. $35 per roll for some snapper and hamachi is once again, absolutely egregious. You should be ashamed.
Our warm, hilarious, and wonderfully knowledgeable hostess—known fondly as “Crazy Lucy”—steered us toward some must-have selections, and every recommendation was spot-on. The sushi and sashimi were impeccably fresh, beautifully cut, and truly next-level. While I don’t usually gravitate toward rolls, the Tuna Dum Dum and Love You So Much! completely won us over… and yes, the feeling was mutual. Our friends were equally obsessed, raving about every roll that hit the table.
And then there’s the wine list—refreshingly strong and far better than what you typically find at restaurants in this genre. Thoughtful, well-chosen, and a perfect complement to the food.
From start to finish, the experience was awesomel. We loved it so much that we’re already heading back this week. Sushi Simon isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience and we cannot wait to indulge again.
