☀️ Pro tip for the perfect summer morning: grab your to-go order from Henry’s Bagel & Deli in Kittery, then head straight to the beach.

Today’s choice: an *everything bagel* stacked with veggie cream cheese, egg, spinach, and tomato. Honestly, it’s so good you won’t even notice if a few grains of sand sneak into the mix.

Picture it: warm sun, salty breeze, toes in the sand, cold brew in hand… and the best bagel bite of your life.

Live like a tourist in your own backyard — snag your bagel + brew from Henry’s and claim your spot on your favorite stretch of sand. Priceless. ️

I’ve never written a review for a restaurant or food before, but this place deserves to be raved about. The bagels are delicious, you can’t go wrong with any of them; the drinks are 10/10 (I recommend one of the specialty iced coffees or the lemonade with raspberry purée); my favorite of all is the Build Your Own Sandwich– if you love a good sandwich, you will love this: everything is SO fresh (try the sourdough) and THE PICKLES!!!! They make their own and they’re addictive. Get them on your sandwich AND buy a container to take home. This afternoon, when I went in to pick up a to-go order, I had to run back to the car to get my wallet because the chocolate cherry brownies looked soo good, I needed to grab one of those as well. I am lazy and not even very big on sweets! Please let that speak to how incredible this brownie looked. It was delicious! This is the best spot I’ve found since moving to Maine. The employees are lovely and the atmosphere is genuinely adorable– neither of those attributes mean much to me if the food isn’t good, but they make a great place even better with food like this.

Stopped by Henry’s Bagels & Deli today for their grand opening — and WOW. The place is absolutely beautiful. You walk in and immediately feel a burst of good energy — staff buzzing, bagels flying, coffee flowing!!!

The cold brew was Amazing. I grabbed the rotating bagel — an Asiago bagel & had it as a bagel breakfast sandwich!!
it did not disappoint! These bagels are different — in the best way. Big and bold, but somehow light. No heavy, doughy feeling after devouring down two bagels— just clean, fresh, flavorful goodness.

The eggs on the sandwich were cooked perfectly — slightly runny, just how we like it! Can’t wait to go back tomorrow and try another one!!

It’s only been a month, but Henry’s already feels like a local favorite. You can tell they’re listening to the community—both in the flavor and the experience. The bagels are made in-house, and clearly with love… the quality shines through in every bite. They’re delicious, and it seems like the team has already made a small price adjustment to better serve customers. I saw plenty of people leaving with bagfuls of bagels while I waited for mine—always a good sign!

The vibe inside is warm and welcoming, with a clear nod to its Maine roots. It strikes the perfect balance between local charm and cozy comfort.

Today I tried a plain bagel with maple butter and WOW. That stuff is GOLD. Light, just sweet enough, and totally crave-worthy. I already can’t wait to go back for another.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Henry’s—we’re so glad you’re here.

Went in the first time today and everything was great. My wife had an egg sandwich and I had the bagel with lox and both were excellent (I would ask for the tomatoes and salmon to be cut into small pieces though next time to be easier to eat). I also order a Italian to go for lunch and it was one of the better one’s I’ve had. Space inside is nice and larger than expected with plenty of seating. Highly recommend.

This place has a perfect cafe feel— very welcoming and warm. The food is really good albeit a tad expensive, but I’m willing to pay the extra few dollars to support a small business. The inside is always very clean and I love to come here to do homework. I also appreciate the condiment bar. My only critique is that it seems that they might be using AI artwork on their menus

Excellent!! Bright, welcoming, and some super delicious food!

Just finished my pastrami reuben on a rye bagel (the suggestion on the menu is 100% right; do this!) and I’m already thinking about when I can get another one! I saw a chicken salad sub being eaten by some folks while I was waiting for my order and all I can say is that my ordering decisions in the future are going to be difficult because everything looks so good.

Convenient location right on Route 1. Judging by my completely seamless and excellent day-one experience, Henry’s is absolutely worth making a stop for.

Highly recommend! We got a sesame bagel with lox. Perfectly toasted and served open-faced with plenty of toppings. More than enough for my husband and me to share. Very reasonable price as well. Friendly staff in a great location. We will be back for sure.

Knocking down 1 star for the fact that they don’t serve espresso 🙁 I got the Bridge Blend which… cold brew just isn’t my preferred blend. It’s not nearly strong enough to compensate for the cold foam so it was not my favorite. However, THE BAGEL… stole the show. The best, fresh texture, mixed with chewy & the perfect crunch. I split mine with half cream cheese and half maple butter and it was amazing. The maple butter egg sandwich was also incredible. Will absolutely go back just for the bagels <3

Henry’s is such a great spot. The coffee is excellent smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The people here are super friendly and make you feel welcome right away, which really adds to the experience.

As someone who often works from coffee shops, I really appreciate a comfortable environment, good temperature control, and strong Wi-Fi and Henry’s checks most of those boxes.

The only reason I didn’t rate it a five is because there were quite a few fruit flies around the seating area. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it does make it a little hard to focus when you’re trying to get work done. I totally get that these things can be tough to manage, but hopefully it’s something that can be addressed soon.

Otherwise, this place is awesome great drinks, great people, and a really inviting vibe.
