A+, A+, and then A+.
The pizza Steve makes in the wood fired oven is the best around if you like the thinner crust pizza. The sauce has a good mixture of flavors and spices.
There are typically specials each week, but since they are always quite good, they sell out.
The fish and chips, oh my this is so good. I don’t even like fish, but I order it. The batter is crispy but not crunchy or overly thick like breading.
The chicken tenders are fried just right too. They have more batter than the fish, but again it’s not overdone or mushy at all.
Staff are great. You really feel like you’re at Helen’s place when you walk in. Helen is always friendly and when she says you’re like family when you’re here, she means it.
We always appreciate the warm and friendly faces and excellent service from staff when we walk in the door, even on days when it’s packed.
This is the perfect place to stop off 89. It’s barely a block off the freeway. You can still see 89 from the parking lot.
It gets crowded during lunch and late supper, so plan ahead. Stop in, you’ll dig it. You’ll be glad you stopped.

After some shopping in Newport we looked for a bite to eat, Helen’s looked promising and we’re sure glad we stopped in! What a find, an unassuming gem of a place. A shout out to Brooke our server who took great care of us, making recommendations on food and drink. The two pizza’s we ordered we fantastic and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, truly a family run restaurant and it showed, we can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the area!

Drove over 2 hours and landed at this gem. The owner greeted us warmly and was very kind. Prices reflect the quality of food you get. Dishes had great taste, appearance and adequate serving sizes. The Burger was cooked to perfection, the fried pickles were the best we’ve had…and the Pretzel…out of this world. Right off I-89, this place is worth the stop.

Ordered a nacho appetizer and pastrami sandwich. The nachos plate had barely any nachos and was incredibly small. The pastrami sandwich had barely any meat. I would not recommend this place due to the ridiculously sized small portions. The cheese was not melted on the nachos or the pastrami. I dont mind paying for good food and decent portions, but come on! This place used to have the best nachos around. You will not be getting our business and hard earned money again.

We stopped here for dinner after our plans got messed up. It was just in the right spot at the right time on our trip. We were so pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Great friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and good food. But the best part was the people watching. We were the out-of-towners and EVERYONE else knew each other and they were all so welcoming and friendly. Definitely coming back.

When it comes to this fabulous restaurant nestled off of rt 10 in the quant town of Grantham I have a love/hate relationship. I love the food, atmosphere and service and I hate that I live so far away! My wife and I ate here for my birthday during a weekend getaway and let me tell you, this restaurant did not disappoint. From the tavern style full bar to the pub style tables and chairs, fall off the bone ribs and perfectly seasoned fries, amazingly prepared burgers and perfectly fried mozzarella moons, delicious brownie Sundays and lemon creme cakes to a dozen beers on tap, you will find something you’ll like. Thank you Helen’s for a super pleasant dining experience! The prices are very fair and the food is out of this world! We will be back again and again. This restaurant deserves a gold star and a shout out!

A simple little restaurant which serves comfort food. Sandwiches, salads, pizza and burgers etc. Watch what you are charged as some of the prices on menu are lower than come up on the bill. They also charge an extra 3% if you use a credit card. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable. The food was good but not worth the price paid.

Easy to miss. Outside makes you question your choice, but inside is warm and inviting. Staff was friendly. Food was good. My wife enjoyed her ribs, and I liked my nachos with added pork.

Nice staff, extensive menu, and great food. We got articoke/spinach dip, BLT, pot pie and a take home margarita pizza. Everything was wonderful. The wood fire pizza is amazing. A go to stop if in town.
