We really enjoyed our lunch at Napoli’s Italian restaurant. The restaurant is in the old train depot and very attractive inside and out. My tortellini was delicious and my wife really enjoyed her baked ziti. Our server was very friendly and attentive and even assisted with good recommendations.

Decided to try this place out, unfortunately it was a terrible decision. The waitress was friendly and polite. We were early for the dinner rush or so we thought. It was empty on a Friday night. We got served stale bread and dry chicken for my Cesar salad. In addition we order the pasta sampler. The ground beef didn’t taste like ground beef. It tasted as the meat had gone bad. While we waited we could hear the kitchen staff loudly talk. We were confused because the reviews had somewhat of good reviews. However I would not waist my time going again. We drove around the corner and found 2 pub places that were packed and appeared to be the best option to eat than this restaurant.

Wonderful place, but then again I love historical buildings. I’m a little of a history nerd. Pleasant place. The atmosphere was calm, and you didn’t feel rushed. The waitress was very understanding about the request I made, due to cross contamination issues. Yep , you guessed it… I am allergic to shell fish of any sort. I had no issue the chef said he would do his best in cooking, and he did. The rolls are outstanding. The meal itself was great. Make sure you have an appite… You go away hungry from there? You have issues I thought it was really reasonable in price due to the amount of food we got. My husband chose very well, considering it was our 2nd anniversary celebration we will be coming back in the future.

My waitress Lina was great (5 ☆). When I arrived the young lady at the counter, who was obviously handling another customers check, totally ignored me (1 ☆). I peeked into the dining room and caught the attention of Lina (5☆). I was then seated and taken care of. Appetizer of Stuffed Mushrooms was very delicious! It was very hot and fresh!! I ordered the Tour of Italy. It was a good wait before the entrée arrived. I only received 2/3 of the order. The Lasagna and Chicken Parmigiano. The Fettucine Alfredo arrived after I was almost finished with the Lasagna and Chicken Parmagiano. Lina was very attentive and apologized for the long wait. All of the food was very flavorful. The chicken was overcooked and tough. Seems like a romantic restaurant. The background music was excellent.

Got a meat lovers pizza and Diavolo for take out. The Diavolo was great but the pizza was under cooked and dough was still raw. I asked for peppers and parmesan cheese and was told they were too busy.

I can’t believe this place has bad reviews! I’ve lived in major cities and traveled a lot… this is a top tier Italian restaurant and a serious gem in rural Kansas!! I want some right now!

Bread stick was hard. Chicken was rubbery. Broccoli was raw. And my goodness, do you need three cups of gravy (aka Alfredo sauce) the packaged tortellini was swimming in? Food just gets worse each time I go. Not going back. This place rarely has a full dining room. The wait staff is friendly but couple that with the long wait and sub par food. Not wonderful

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiling faces. When I did a search for Italian restaurants and found this one, I thought “yea right, an Italian restaurant that’s decent in Kansas, no way!” Especially since I am from NY and am Italian with high standards for Italian food!
Well to my surprise the food here was very good. The pic doesn’t really do it justice because we ate a bit before we realized that we hadn’t taken a photo yet.
I had the Veal Marsala and my wife had the Chicken Marsala. Both were wonderful and the sauce was divine. The chicken was just a bit dry though. Not enough to lower the Food Star Rating by whatsoever. The Marsala sauce was so good that I spent another 5-10 mins dipping the bread in it after I had finished the pasta and veal.
I always ask for a side of meatballs at every Italian restaurant I go to. It’s just habit and a barometer of the food prep for me. These were homemade and fresh, not frozen. They reminded me of my grandma’s meatballs.
For desert we both had cheesecake which came out a little bit frozen but that was ok. Presentation was wonderful with swirling drizzles of caramel sauce around the edge of the plate.
The lemon drop martini was perfect but the Tanqueray olive martini tasted like it had no olive juice in it at all. It was like drinking straight gin. Not that I minded but for me it’s a little difficult to stomach straight gin. In hindsight I would order the Lemon Drop martini instead.
Prices are very reasonable and our entire meal with drinks and deserts came to $65 which is phenomenal. I would have happily paid more for the food and service. Our waitress was pleasant and very attentive.
Oh and the bread is an interesting shape and seems to have an egg wash of sorts. It was also wonderful and was served with an olive oil and herb dipping sauce.
Overall a wonderful dining experience start to finish. Highly recommended.
