I Cavallini, the Brooklyn Restaurant From Four Horsemen, Is Exciting
Reviews
And the tiramisu… oh my goodness! It was so good we literally inhaled it in 30 seconds. Every bite was pure perfection.
If you love Italian food done to perfection, I Cavellini is an absolute must-visit!
Service started off meh. Sure, they filled our glasses at the beginning but after that, it was sparse at best. Our table felt largely ignored by multiple staff members, and long stretches went by without anyone checking in. It wasn’t attentive or polished; it just felt disorganized.
Meal pacing was painfully slow. Courses dragged with noticeable gaps in between, and the evening felt unnecessarily drawn out.
The food and drinks were mediocre across the board. Nothing memorable, nothing particularly well-executed…it was really just average. At this price point and being part of the Four Horsemen group, “average” is not acceptable.
The value is honestly the worst part. Overpriced and low quality is a tough combination to justify. The Four Horsemen has phenomenal food, service, and overall experience. I Cavallini doesn’t come close.
Brooklyn has far too many strong dining options to spend this kind of money here. Not worth it.
With tax my total came out to $230, which I have to say is a bit much for 2 people, no drinks, and small portion size. I enjoyed it overall though
Thank you I Cavallini team for wonderful hospitality! Each and one of you is a star!
Each dish was so delicious and special, I enjoyed every bite!!
Great selection of wines!
Prices are reasonable!
Cool, warm environment!
Very much recommended 🙂
Ideal service with great people, great room, music, vibe, lighting, art on the walls. Even the bar seats are fantastic. But still most importantly food is mind blowing, left feeling good and healthy and did the next day, dreaming and talking about what we ate the night before.
Hats off to everyone at I Cavallini they are not horsing around can’t wait to eat here again.
Nick and his team have simply done an incredible job. The kitchen is inventive, the staff are warm and enthusiastic about the restaurant. Keeps you coming back for sure.
I can’t fault any part of the menu. I’ve had the opportunity to try most of the pasta. And about 40-50% of the rest of the dishes. Standouts for me were the nervetti, cucumbers, lettuces, trofie, farfallone, trout, and pork chop. What really surprised me was how good their desserts were. Typically I expect to end the night with a fernet and a scoop of some sorbet but they absolutely crush it with their tiramisu, gelato, and cakes! Do not skip the desserts.
Finally, a shout out to Flo for putting together a phenomenal Italian list, and for elevating each meal with her bottle selections!
