Tues ” Thurs and Saturday is dollar shrimp day!!! I had the fried and sautéed. Both were great. Also the best 7-up cake Ive ever tasted. Any drawbacks came from bad cutomer service. Also the wait. I called my order in drove 20 mins and still had a 10 wait.

I ordered the seafood bowl because I was told it had scallops lump crab and shrimp.. I ordered it with spinach they put broccoli on it instead and not one scallop and absolutely no taste for $21 they should be ashamed never again

I had the fried scallops. They were very tasty. The wait however was very long. I was told 5 more minutes and that turned into 20. My aunt ordered crab cake with mac and cheese and green beans. The mac was just cheese and elbow macaroni. The cheese was clumpy and not distributed through out the dish. Very disappointing. The crab cakes were good though.

Friend touted Uptown Seafood $ shrimp promo, so I decided to give them a play since I was up in G’town. Came on wrong day of promo but placed orders anyway!
Highly disappointed! Placed $70 shrimp take out order. On my way home, thought I’d do a quick taste test & order was wrong , missing FF. Called gave US a heads up that order was missing FF & was coming back to pick them. Person on phone seemed confused & couldn’t grasp what I was saying. ( I get it’s a restaurant & they take a lot of calls) instead of saying ok, I’ll be happy to review order when you get here. She went through this whole math calculation of order..but her math was incorrect. Frustrated bc food now getting cold, missing food I returned to restaurant. Asked to speak w/owner M. Dodd he wasn’t in .
M.Dodd you need to do a better job w/service. Btw, most seafood “take outs” offer 1st order of cocktail complimentary.
First impressions are lasting impressions.
I don’t mind paying $$ but good service & food quality is a “must have”.

Unfortunately, I do not have a pic of the platter I had purchased. My fam and I enjoyed out snow crab with broccoli and corn in butter garlic sauce platter. The staff were so friendly and knows about customer service. Just for that, I plan to come again. Delicious food and awesome service is a perfect combo.

The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I had the crab cakes and it was ALL crab meat Delicious!! Will definitely be going back..and someone let me taste their shrimp (for $1 on Tuesdays and Thursdays) wish I would have ordered both. Its DEFINITELY a must try!

Food was dynamic. It was made pretty fast and it was also dollar shrimp day. You can also get you a homemade strawberry lemonade to wash it all down. Great place to visit. October 1st they start breakfast. You can’t beat this place and its a neighborhood staple.

I wanted to support a black owned business and this was the one I set my sights on, I tell you I wish I never had. Ordered two alaskan crab platters well before closing and when I received my food from Uber Eats I only had two clusters of crab without any sides.
I reached out to the restaurant to explain what happened with my order. I was told the Uber driver had taken my food and that they check every order before it leaves the shop to make sure it is correct. In my bag that was sealed shut with my name on it was only those two clusters. Was told nothing could be done and to contact Uber for my refund. Absolutely terrible customer service

The mac and cheese was scraped from the bottom of the pan. The greens were bland and had too much garlic…. who puts garlic in greens? The potato salad tasted turned… day old or days old. The cabbage was bland. The Whiting had bones. I asked for broiled flounder and was given fried flounder. The sweet potatoes were from the can… Where do they sell good food anymore?!?!!?!???!
