I have been coming to this Rita’s location since I was a child and I have never had a complaint before. They have great customer service!
While at this location today, I ordered a small mango gelati to go for my mom. I was shocked by how small the cup was, especially for the price. However, I returned to the car and headed home (a 5 minute drive from the rita’s location). On the drive home, the italian ice melted quickly and began spilling over the sides. Soon after, the custard melted and spilled all over the car, my pants, etc.
I can’t help but wonder if this could have been avoided if I had the Rita’s Italian Ice cup vs a regular plastic cup.

Every one loves Italian ice and gelati! Mango is my favorite, I also love the flights with 4 different flavors in one container . The custard is great on a cone for children. Rita’s is a Maryland favorite in every county!

To management and the owner for Security Blvd location. You may want to have a talk about the attitude and service of your employee Trinity. I’m writing the same day as the incident around 4:40 pm. She yelled at the top of her lungs our order. We were at one end, the pick up window and she’s yelling at the order here window at the other end. Other customers, there were just as appalled as I, check your cameras . Her yelling actually scared my young child and that did not make matters better. She attempted to apologize but it was full of agitation and insincere.

Visit Rita on security Blvd as well as the rotunda location. Luv the custard ice cream my favorite!! However the encounter at both locations are with staff feeling entitled to an automatic tip. I’m all for tipping however, the demeanor, unfriendly behavior in my experience in both locations are beyond me. I personally like to greet the staff with a pleasant smile. hello, good afternoon with a warm approach trying to initiate a pleasant kind gesture in return. TIPS: (To Insure Personal Service) is not what’s understood behind the counter. We all in this day and time are making ends meet. We all have reached a point in life where we earned/earning a living. In the food service industry some (if not all) rely on tips to manage life. To those who do so remember it’s not an automatic, tips are earned! To choose to work in the food industry and expecting tips that you have not earned is a disservice to the industry!
The young lady (different staff worker) at the Rotunda location saw me coming jumped up slid open the glass door and said “ I know what you want” Now that’s (Tips: To Insure Personal Service) I was more than glad to leave a (TIP). From now on every time I encounter this young lady, she will get TIPS! Absolutely!

This location usually has amazing kind friendly staff. But god forbid you come 20 minutes before closing and ask for a milkshake. I didn’t even finish asking for a choc shake before being cut off. “I ain’t doing no blended drinks. You get Italian or gelati. That’s all I’ll do.”
8:40 pm, Wednesday evening in August. You can have what the cashier feels like making, with a heaping dose disrespect and attitude because they started the closing procedures too early., Some employees would rather treat regular customers like less-than-human rather than re-wash the mixing blade for a single milkshake. Cuz I just wanted one $7 milkshake, it’s like I brought baseball team. Just one blended drink at 8:40pm. I must’ve missed the “No blended drinks, dignity or respect after 8:30pm” sign.
I’ve been intentionally passing the Frederick Rd and Edmondson Ave locations because of the excellent service I had received here earlier this season.

I order Rita’s for my job which turned out to be 6 Gallons and 9 Quarts worth of Rita’s, and our Experience was great. The ordering at the location was great, the emails back and forth with the owners was great. Pick up day was amazing, I pulled up, walked to the window, asked for my order, and everything was ready and waiting for me.
Excellent Customer Service from beginning to end.

I went to this ritas 7/26/23 & tatiana took my order. I went around 11:58.. it was no line/ not busy. It took her forever to complete my order because she was too busy laughing and playing around with her co worker. She also got my order incorrect. I wanted to make a call to the actual location but of course the phones don’t work. & the website isn’t either to file the complaint.
