Stopped for an after-dinner cocktail on a warm night. Great atmosphere, friendly service. Cool space with open-air seating in the front window. Seems like a place you would go when you are not in a hurry and are just in the mood for a slow, quiet evening. Menu was mostly appetizers with a small pizza menu. We didn’t realize they didn’t take credit cards until after we ordered, so keep that in mind.

The owner is a complete jerk. We wanted to place a food order right away as we were hungry, he stated if we didn’t order a drink then we couldn’t sit at the bar! He is lucky we didn’t walk out at that point! If it wasn’t for Chantel the server we would have left! I feel sorry she has to work for a person like this. Our food was the worst – the skillet burgers were raw and my husband asked for mustard for his bologna slider and was told the owner would give him ketchup only! This is one bar we DO NOT recommend! I should have really paid attention to the reviews. We felt like he only likes his regulars and those are the ones that will post good reviews. We were not drunk and very respectful to Chantel and did not deserve the treatment he gave us or our friends! Ps has the health inspector been there lately? He should check them out, raw hamburgers could make you sick!

Love the low key vibe and quality wine! The pear pizza is so good and original too! Owner Tom and bartender Tianna are some of the best people we’ve gotten to know! Always welcoming and remembering our orders. Love love love the window seats and people watching! One of my favorite places in Port Huron!!

Terrible experience. Doing a barhop ordered a couple sliders and hadn’t decided what to drink. Was told if we weren’t going to order a drink we would have to move to a table. Bar had about 6 people in it. Then the sliders came and we asked for mustard. We were told we could have ketchup but not mustard. Two of us ordered and our sliders arrived on one plate. We do not recommend. Owner/Bartender/Cook is rude.

Was pretty bummed when visiting from out of town and hours show they close at 1am on a Saturday night. We walked in at 1045pm and was stopped immediately by a woman shouting from a table of 2 people “no! sorry guys but it’s too late. We are closing” 1. Kind of embarrassing to be shouted at across the bar. 2. I’ve worked in the industry for 20+ years if you are going to close early because you aren’t busy you will lose a lot of business that way. You are better off making your closing hours earlier and staying open later if busy enough.

Unacceptable service. This is the second time I’ve been here and have felt unwelcomed both times. The first time I was immediately intimidated upon walking in when the entire bar was looking at me including the bar and the bartender and was silenced. Very awkward and didn’t feel welcomed so we turned around and walked out. Second time upon entering my friends and I bought a drink and a shot (there was 3 of us) and asked for a to-go food order and said I couldn’t because of policies….Took 15+ minutes for our drink and said I could put in an order as long as I put in for it as in-house and took a bite because the manager was at the bar watching…I put in an order but again, the server gave me a cold shoulder and almost looked angered that I was asking as such. As someone in the service industry that is super unprofessional and almost feel bad for new patrons visiting. I decided to cancel my to-go/in-house order. Took us 20+ mins. To get our CHECK for 3 drinks and 3 shots. I will never come back. The place is beautiful but the service is below expectations and is sad

Caters to older people so if you’re under 30 avoid. First 2 times they denied me because the owner “couldn’t read ids”. 3rd time finally got accepted but literally didn’t get checked on for over an hour. Owner will deny this.

Went out to dinner here and ordered a meat lovers pizza…it was on the menu as pepperoni and bacon but it came with pepperoni and sausage. After confronting the waitress and the owner they wouldn’t give us a refund and said we could eat it or they would throw it away. It was a 20$ pizza….just take it off the bill and respect your customers. Never going back, terrible experience. The owner/cook was so rude.

Absolutely love the atmosphere and staff here. It’s such a quiet low key environment compared to the other local bars. You can sit and relax over drinks and great food for a few hours without much noise or hassle. It’s quickly becoming my go to place to grab a drink and enjoy some quality time with friends.
If you’re looking for something different than the usual loud local bar scene, go see the folks at the Alley Room. Staff and owner are always incredibly friendly, go well above and beyond with their customer service level and are great for a conversation.
