Stopped in for lunch and later for beers. Had the Cowboy Up burger w/ fries. It was very good. Beer on tap was cold. Love the atmosphere. It was clean. Everyone was friendly. Had a good conversation about the history. Very reasonable.

Passing through town and my uncle asked a gentleman where’s the best place for a late lunch, he pointed us to this place. The ladies that served us were very nice, even though they were about to close they told no problem. I had the cheese burger and that was one delicious fresh ground beef burger and at a fantastic price! If I’m ever passing through again I’ll make sure to stop by there!

This is a great Bar and Grill. I have been eating here since 1985. Great bar food. The cheeseburgers are wonderful. The menu is diverse and even has Rocky Mountain Oysters. If you are traveling along KS Hwy 36, stop in at St Francis KS and eat lunch here. Great people.

While I wasn’t the first customer, it wasn’t busy, yet I still waited over 10 mins for someone to acknowledge my table. Once acknowledged, I put in an order for a hamburger and fries….I wasn’t asked how I wanted my burger cooked, I guess they only have 1 way, called Hockey Puck. No one ever came back to see if I needed a refill to help choke down the hockey puck. Now the fries were the opposite, they probably needed at least another 2 mins in the fryer. So I had limp soggy fries to go with my hockey puck of a burger. How you mess up a burger and fries so bad is beyond me. Save your money and find another place to eat in this small town. The only reason for 2 stars is because it wasn’t a bad price if the food was better.

Very disappointed with this place. Have gone there many times over the years. Today is my birthday and was meeting family there for lunch. Had a party of 6, this same number of people have met there for lunch in the past. This time I was met at the door by the owner with an attitude and informed that with a party of this size I must always call first. Hello, I’m in St Francis, KS. I’ve never had to call a restaurant ahead of time and let them know that I’m coming in for lunch. The owner was complaining about us to all the other customers in the restaurant, which I feel is very unprofessional. She was even taking everyone else’s order and never even made it to my table, even though I was in there long before the other customers she was serving. Needless to say. We got up and left. I don’t plan on ever gracing her restaurant again.

This Resteraunt looks like a hole in the wall until you get inside. Cute decor, super friendly small town service. Fresh cut fries taste wonderful…but I have to say, it’s their burgers that keep me going back for more. I have eaten “In & Out” burgers, “Whataburgers” and every other kind of burgers, but none compare to the burgers at the Diamond R. If you’re anywhere near St Francis on Highway 36, it is definitely worth stopping for a meal.
