Disappointed. Haven’t been to Red Eye’s in nearly 20+ years, but I heard the food was really good, so reluctantly optimistic, we decided to try it out, off peak hours mid week and…. nothing special. Atmosphere is great, out doors, water front, what else do you need. Anyhow, not for me. I’m not going back.
Plus, beer was warm. Maybe because it was early and the bartenders weren’t keeping the ice fresh in the coolers, don’t know.

Not great for an afternoon lunch. The view and sitting right next to the water were the only good points (and the only reason for two stars). The service was awful. Had to ask 3 times to get water along with our cocktails and appetizer. Had to walk up to bar to get our own plates and napkins. Server finally came back right before food finally came out and said reason was they got “randomly busy all of a sudden” and the place was almost empty. Wings were decent though. The cod fish and chips and the hot honey chicken sandwich were wayyyyy more breading than they were meat. Sever never came back to get second round of drinks or refill water or even bring the check. Had to walk up to bar to get check and finally get the hell out of there. Band started up and was wayyyyy too loud for a casual Sunday afternoon and maybe 40 people in the whole place. Might be good for a rowdy night crowd bar scene, but definitely not for a good meal.

Went for the first time for Naptown on the dock last night and had an amazing time! The food was great, the location was gorgeous, the bands were phenomenal and our server Alana (sp?) was next level! She saw us enjoying the bands near the stage without drinks in our hands and came to see if we would like anything. (Which we happily ordered ) There was a huge group of us and she somehow managed to keep track of all of our staggered orders. She worked her tables like a seasoned vet! Thanks for the top notch service and memorable night!

Great spot for a bite and some beers. I am glad the new management has updated the menu. The food now reflects the atmosphere. The ceviche was amazing, tasted fresh, garnished with avocado. The rockfish street tacos were spot on, I could have done without the avocado slice though. Steamed shrimp were good. The corn was pretty bad, over cooked and tough. You would think the corn would have been perfect given the location.
The outside seating and views can’t be beat. Being able to bring your boat right up and dock at the place is a huge plus.Overall a great place.
The service was good , not great , that’s why 4 instead of 5 stars.

This user to be an awesome spot to ride to, get a beer and pit beef sandwich. They said no brimless headwear and made Mr remove my leather do- rag. And said, “this use to be a big biker bar and we at trying to get away from that”.
This is to be a fun place to ride to. Kinda didn’t feel it after my last visit 15 years ago

Our first time here to see our favorite band and overall we had a pleasurable experience considering the cold winds howling in from the North. Decent menu selections with average pricing for this day and age. Young servers kept things moving were attentive to our needs. The one major disappointment were the cocktails – wait time and alcohol content. My second Grapefruit crush had no traces of alcohol prompting me to ask if I received a virgin by mistake. The establishment refused to make it better.

During a road trip overe Labor day weekend, me and some friends ended up at the Red Eye’s Dock bar for lunch. I had never been but they told me that the food was pretty good. COVID precautions are still a thing so we had to sign in, get assigned tables and make sure that we had masks. This part I didn’t mind and understood given our global situation. Our wait wasn’t long, there was plenty of people going in and out of the dock so we expected the service to be fast and the food to be good.

Once we were seated we ordered drinks and some of my friends already knew what they wanted and ordered right away. By the time the waitress came back with our drinks we were ready to give our orders. I had ordered one of their Orange crushes, it basically tasted like and orange sugary soda with a little alcohol. It was basically a cheap drink. I highly don’t recommend you waste your money on it.

As for food, I ordered the Rockfish street tacos for $14. The dish is just two little fish tacos with a bunch of toppings. The fish tasted fresh and so did the avocado, red cabbage, and cilantro. Not to mention the lime added a nice touch but I felt it was too little food for $14. Nice to take a picture of but I wanted to taste better. It was nothing special. There was no blackened flavor.

Since the drink was a cheap item and the dish just didn’t wow me for a seafood taco, one of the big reasons for the two star is the fact that the timing for my groups dishes was all over the place. The people that ordered right away got their food quickly, then the rest of my party got their food in waves. Basically some of us had to watch our friends eat while other tables that got their after us, got their meals and paid before the rest of us got our dishes. We had to wait over an hour after our order to get serve! This was unacceptable. I had asked the waitress several time on the situation of our orders and she basically stated that the kitchen was backed up. This didn’t make sense with what we saw, when other people that sat down after us got their food and checks and left before we even saw our food. It felt disorganized and we nearly walked out until a couple of servers had our dishes.

Based on my experience and how un-pleased my friends were, I can’t recommend this place for food or drinks.
