I had the pleasure of eating here last weekend while visiting a friend in Richmond. I always try to find locally owned soul food restaurants whenever I’m traveling. I was very much impressed with the food, customer service, and ambiance of this establishment. The owner came out to greet my friend and I and chatted a bit. Everything was awesome!! I recommend the wings (I had the cherry pineapple) Mac & cheese, collards, and whipped banana pudding. Thank you to the owner and staff for making my visit memorable. I will definitely be back. Hot DANG this food was good, we got the garlic parm wings and the cherry pineapple wings, I’ve never had better in my LIFE. The mac and cheese and sweet potatoes were incredible and the service was somehow even better than the food. What a find!

I ordered Macaroni & Cheese,JeMaes Collard Greens, and Wing Flavors: 6 Garlic Parmesan. The mac and cheese and greens were good but not phenomenal. I had them once; I never have to have them again. I wouldn’t pay for them again, and I wouldn’t drive across town for them again. However, I would eat them again, so I would say they’re just slightly above mediocre.
The chicken had a decent flavor, but for my expectations, it was terrible! I’m not familiar with these dry crusty crumbs as “garlic parmesan,” I don’t see how this is a hit. I think people are lying to you, and they’re afraid to tell you that this style of flavoring is trash. Well came for the wings.

I’m a former chef and I gotta say, this stuff is fire, money, on point, smoking, slapping, whatever you want to call it. It’s cooked to perfection. Good food needs time, and these guys understand that it’s not about getting you the food yesterday and expecting you to love it. They take the appropriate time to put love into the food and it shows.
Best place I’ve eaten in years, and sad to say, it’s netter than my cooking. I guess that’s what restaurants are for. To get stuff you never dreamed of having at home. Well if I’m dreaming eating here, don’t you dare wake me up. Nomnomnom.

This is a really awesome place to eat..I ordered the fish platter with collard greens and Mac n cheese which is served only on the weekends .. My food was really good and I would also recommend the Tea.. Great customer service.

We had the pleasure of eating here tonight. We tried the cheesesteak subs, fries, Mac and cheese, banana pudding, and the 7up pound cake. All of it was delicious. The pound cake tasted like my grandma’s. We would definitely eat there again.

Just moved in the area and wanted to find a place that both my husband and I could both eat. It is hard to find a place that has a good plant based burger, but their Beyond Burger was actually really good. My husband also enjoy his cheesesteak sandwich. Also make sure you get the banana pudding! Definitely my favorite place in the area so far.
