This spot just opened, maybe a month ago now. We’d been seeing the signs for “coming soon” and anxiously awaiting the delicacies to come… Delicacies delivered!!
Since the opening, we’ve already been twice. Our server, Jacob, who actually served us both visits, has extensive knowledge of the menu. All the vegetarian ramens are vegan, and I’ve now had the Spicy Creamy V and the Flying V Harvest ramen dishes. Both are excellent and I plan to order them again. I also can’t wait to order a meal of all the vegan appetizers/small plates, because they have a surprising amount. This place accommodates all sorts of parties, casual to formal to business hours folks, and the prices are crazy reasonable. Highly recommend:)

We had the pleasure of coming here opening week! I wasnt planning on making a review for this place, but between the stunning visuals, excellent food and lovely staff, I couldn’t not take some time to write about this awesome place!
My partner and I started with the Pork Gyoza and impossible Gyoza with a side salad add on. Every placement comes with sauces available to self administer, so we got some Gyoza sauce and really enjoyed them together! I absolutely recommend trying some version of Gyoza while you are there. They were delicious! The side salad was good as well, but I wasnt as blown away with that as I was the Gyoza.
For our Ramen, we both tried different kinds- my partner got the Premium Tonkotsu Red, which comes in different spice leves. I had the Tan Tan Men Ramen which was absolutely delicious!! Everything tasted so refreshing and full.
We sat at the bar so our view was a little limited, but they had a large space with plenty of seating, and a large mural on one side. The music was a little loud, but conversation was still possible. The space was very well decorated!
I absolutely recommend stopping by if you’re ever in the area!

The vegan creamy ramen and the vegan gyoza were amazing! Flavorful and great quality. The bartender made me a mocktail version of the lychee-tini and it was phenomenal. Love the fresh lychee in it. Great service as well 🙂

Tan tan men was flavorful and full of spices. Definitely will have again. Shrimp Wonton Ramen flavor filled and hearty. Now I like a good bourbon drink Smokey Wokashi was nice and strong love it. The Matcha Lychee Lemonade was a hit too.

All the other reviews already point out their flaws. Food is delicious and pretty spot on from their other locations. But the service.. oh boy. Just put a QR code on the table to order and pay.

A table of 3 of us got sat at 6:30 on a Tuesday. Immediately after us a two top got sat right next to us. We sat there for 15-20 minutes while the table behind us got a drink order in and then were ordering food when the waiter with them saw us looking around and asked “has anyone been over here yet”.

We ordered everything at once because I was afraid it was gonna take a while after already waiting to be seen. She told us she’d but our ramen in later and let the appetizer come out first. Nope. Still got ramen before all the apps came out. Whatever not the end of the world. But when we were all done I just sat there with my credit card in my hand for another 20 minutes after she came up and asked us how we’re doing and we said we’ll take the check

The food IS GOOD. I enjoyed it all. But we would have been there probably half the amount of time if we could just order and pay in an app.

Our bill was $130 and you want us to tip 20% for being neglected. Sigh

All this complaining and we’re still going back. But id rather sit at the bar

Great vibe and incredible food! The ramen broth is outstanding – a lot of time went into making this. We ordered the Yakotaki, Tonkatsu Ramen (both Black and OG style) along with their Chicken Chasu Bowl with hot sake. Not one bad bite.

Update (2/11/26): I’ve been here 3x during opening week. There was a soft open, grand opening and the day after grand opening (had to take my husband)

One thing I’ve noticed is each staff likely has their own script they go through when welcoming people. It seems not every person has the same script, because each of them walk through the menu differently and highlight/reference different items. It should be all the same walkthrough with personal interjections.

I got the red ramen at a 3 the 3rd time I came and it was even more hot you know when you have something hot and start coughing? Yeah like that. So it was different heat wise from soft opening.

Since it’s opening week, just a heads up the staff and food are still being dialed down. They yell a greeting when you enter and leave but that gets missed when the kitchen staff doesn’t hear the hostess or it gets busy. Or when we sat down, one server took our order and about 10 mins later another server came and went through the script again but we told her we already ordered (the servers ended up talking about that miscommunication).

Some staff aren’t as friendly as others so just be aware there’s no standard “JINYA” vibe. For example, at Kyuramen, every staff I encountered was bubbly, helpful and upbeat. At JINYA, I think staff is more just doing their own thing. To each their own.

Our server brought us our check before we even asked for it… although we still wanted to order more things…

Went around 5:30pm, no line. By the time we left at 6:45pm, about 20 people waiting and it was already cranking.

Original review:
SO glad that JINYA is in town

Staff: Robert, Jacob, Anthony, Lacy, Kennedy… all amazing! Very kind, friendly, helpful and hospitable – the type of people that make you want to come back.

Food: Arrived in a timely manner!

Ramen- I got the Premium tonkotsu red based on Jacob’s suggestion at a level 3. It was freaken delicious. There’s 10 levels and 3 already has a KICK. I love spicy and 3 is a perfect medium spice level. This broth is more thick, and sticky (likely the collagen as they simmer their broth 20 hours in house).

This means for me that anything above 4 will get me sweating broth is rich, pork was delish, noodles were perfectly kata-men aka al dente. I added a cube of butter and extra side of pork. 10/10

Crispy chicken – crispy, flavorful, delicious. I’d probably request a dipping sauce with this next time. 9/10

Shrimp tempura- really good! Crispy and saucy, if you don’t eat it fast, likely it’ll get soggy! 8/10

Spicy tuna rice – crispy rice was flavorful and a good crisp. The tuna wasn’t as flavorful as I would have hoped or have had before (ex. at Mi Kitchen in Franklin or Kore in East) 8/10

French fries – simple and good fries. Classic. What really made it over-the-top was that truffle ranch sauce it comes with – frick 9.5/10 (bc of that truffle ranch )

Matcha lemonade- really good! Incorporate the matcha well – It’s one of the sweeter drinks but isn’t overtly sweet. 8/10

Kiwi Sparkler – I personally didn’t like this one. It left a bitter/unpleasant aftertaste even though I stirred in the rock candy. I would not get this again. 0/10

Parking: free 2 hour street parking around.

There’s a parking garage attached to the building (not familiar with this one to speak on it) and across the street but it’s with Publix and I have a friend who lives at the apartments above it who said they recently changed their parking rules so heads up (park at your own discretion). I just do street parking and walk over.

Depending on how busy it is in N Gulch, I would assume it would be somewhat tough to find parking (depending on time and day).

Overall- solid ramen spot 8.5/10. I’ll be coming back for that Red ramen again. Sign up for the rewards program if you decide that this spot would be one of your rotating restaurants.

JINYA is my favorite ramen spot. I’ve been to the Hilton head location. As a local I was so excited about the Nashville location opening here. Jacob gave excellent service and knew the menu well. I got the spicy chicken ramen and the J girl mocktail. We shared a matcha tiramisu. Everything was delicious. I’ll be back for happy hour and dinner.
