After 20 years of dining in Portland, heavily creatures was simply spectacular. Even in the backdrop of so many great restaurants in town. Their apparent goal is to offer a few but amazingly delicious food that accompanies beautifully with wine. Most places have Wines by the glass throw away options. Not here.
Pro tip: order what looks good to you on the food menu and then just ask the staff, ideally the sommelier, what goes absolutely best with that particular food. The absolutely best wine experience I’ve had in town. (The resiling was epic)

Looking for a fun evening out with great wine? Highly recommend going to Heavenly Creatures. Their wine knowledge is incredible and they are amazing at finding you wines that you will love.
The food is excellent – well balanced flavors, great range of texture, super fresh. Everything was enjoyable but if I had to narrow down to my top three favorites:
* Young yellowtail toast with tonnato, shallots & mustard seeds
* Shaved pork shoulder, giardiniera, aioli with toast
* Coconut-Chocolate macaroons with hazelnut and cherry coulis

Surprisingly great food and of course great wine as well. You do need to get a decent amount of food, if you’re hungry. The price is a bit overly expensive when looking at Portland culinary scene as a whole. 6 courses and 6 glasses of wine for 300 bucks. Dessert was the shining start.

Heavenly Creatures is truly a gem. I’ve been here multiple times and every visit has been wonderful. The food is consistently delicious. I still daydream about their spring salad with ricotta and sugar snap peas. Their wine selection is outstanding, and the owner is incredibly personable and deeply knowledgeable about wine, which makes the experience feel special and curated.
The atmosphere is romantic and cozy with candles and mood lighting, perfect for a night out with the girls or an intimate date. The space is small, so it can sometimes be hard to get a table, but honestly, the quality and charm make it worth trying.

We went after hearing great things from coworkers. The ambience, service, and wine selection were fantastic. The food is just ok. Definitely not worth the prices though. Go for wine and a light snack. The chips are delicious. The squid is quite good. The squash in Parmesan brodo was nearly flavorless, and the single chicken leg for $30 is a complete joke.

Such a sweet spot for a date night or a girls night. It’s small, but intimate. Feels like you’ve stepped into a. Little Italian wine bar. The food is phenomenal, service is great and they always have great wine suggestions. Love the vibe here.

A lovely spot. The atmosphere hugs you and you want to hug it back! I love an open kitchen chefs counter situation (where we sat) and the chef handed dishes over to us, so fun! I will be back. A perfectly nestled lovely wine bar with the best food on broadway. Aren’t we lucky! Thank you heavenly creatures and everyone you have that makes it special! Pork Croquette, Yellowtail Toast + Rice pudding. MUST HAVES!!
