I wandered in here after making the wrong turn. I was prepared to go home after my 20,000 steps and responsibly drink my protein shake for dinner before I saw the restaurant sign. Thoughts of fried chicken (my weakness) and fried fish (another weakness) lured me inside. I did note that all the customers and servers were men. Several folks were at the gaming machines. The dining room was immaculate and contained two big TVs as well. I ordered the 4 piece wing meal and was told it would be 15 minutes. One of the staff brought my meal to the table. The wings were large, perfectly fried, with a crisp, flaky delicious breading and tender meat. I almost burned myself eating them, they were so good. I dipped them in blue cheese dressing (sauces are ordered separately at 50 cents each). I wish the dressing had chunks of blue cheese in it. The french fries were plump, golden, large but not too large crispy on the outside and meaty on the inside. The coleslaw was also delicious and the cabbage in it tasted fresh and crunchy. An absolute steal of a meal for the price. They also have four kinds of fried fish, many flavors of cake slices for dessert and coffee too. I suspect I will be back.

So. Much. Food. 3 legs and 3 thighs for $7.99. Good and juicy chicken. Light breading. Clean restaurant. Very good place for chicken. It takes 15 minutes to get your order. It comes HOT. Many came in for pick up while we were there.

New place. So I am hoping for improvement. I ordered to go catfish. (Good size catfish filets) 4 wings and 6pc cod. I was asked if I wanted hot or mild sauce for all 3. I was able to taste the hot and mild sauce at the table as I waited 27 minutes for my order. I liked the mild sauce and was looking forward to it on my order. I get home..no sauce..very disappointed. Be sure to ask..is the sauce in the bag
Fries are good. A slice of white bread is included..great throwback to classic Chicago chicken orders. But since no sauce on anything in my order my opinion on taste is meh..I’ll try again after open a few months.

Update: THEY CLOSED
Not great. The wings were soggy and probably pulled from the fryer too early, and the buffalo sauce didn’t seem full mixed with the chicken. Tenders were also not cooked to crispy, as some batter was left to make them as my daughter called them “wet”. They also sadly had no flavor or seasoning to them. Fries were fine. The restaurant just opened so there is always going to be some consistency issues, but with all the other options for similar good out there why risk going back?
Service was friendly, but would have appreciated them all wearing a mask.
Going to drop this to a 1 star review due to the hostility of the owner. See their response.

We LOVED everything and got a lot of food for our family of 5. Our boys love wings and say hands down these were the BEST boneless wings anywhere. They loved the Asian Zing sauce! The hush puppies, jumbo shrimp, smelts and Cod Nuggets were really good. We will be back! Thank you for choosing Carol Stream!!

The food was so fresh and Good! We tried the Tilapia, Catfish and Cod Dinners. Nice portions and Great flavor. New to the area and will definitely refer and return! The woman who took our phone order was very polite and our whole LARGE order was correct! Let’s talk about the coleslaw! Delicious! Great job guys!

So glad Chicago Fish & Chicken opened! Was looking for something new to try with my family and let me tell you. The food DID NOT disappoint! We loved the Cod Fish, and my kids loved the boneless and chicken tenders. The food was so fresh and hot. The environment was very clean and the staff is very welcoming. After we finished our meal, we even ordered extra food to go. That’s how DELICIOUS it was! You will not regret eating here. You’ll be back for more.

Tried Chicago fish and chicken for the first time today and the food was PERFECTLY cooked. I tried the cat fillet, tenders, shrimp and Cod fish and it was the BEST i ever had. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the items on the menu. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The slot machines are also awesome, I even won some money after I finished eatIng. Overall, GREAT service and VERY CLEAN environment.The cooks and staff are awesome! Thank you for choosing carol stream. I will be BACK!!!
