Always come here for holidays, Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving etc. Thanksgiving was especially special with their buffet. Wished they would offer some type of buffet more often, or something else that’s different from many other restaurants menu wise, perhaps an ethnic dish like from Spain or Indian or German food that just is not offered anywhere else around town but also is non experimental and basic still, just not seafood. Anyway they treat you better than family and it feels like home. Love supporting the local business and most welcoming golf club in town. Edit I ordered a pizza recently 2026 and they gave me a Digiorno. They used to have real thin crust pizza. It was never the best, but it was real pizza and now I feel like I’ve been scammed and feel like I don’t want to go back ever again because it seems so obvious to take pizza off the menu instead of serving frozen gas station pizza. You can get pre made crust and put your own ingredients on it at least. Anyway so incompetent and you better fix this as it is the reason why it is never busy despite all the potential. I really love this place but they have to do better.

Our favorite dinner place appeared to be short staffed and as an alternative, we decided to try The Hitching Post that runs a Prime Rib special on Saturdays. They had live music going that was excellent and Bonnie, our server, was attentive and friendly. The drinks menu might have some of the lowest prices in AZ with a glass of wine starting only at $5 and good tasting too! The prime rib could have arrived a few degrees warmer (but otherwise was good) and the onion rings were outstanding. We have a weakness for banana cream pie and off course they had it available as a dessert! All in all we had a lovely evening and will be back. PS: try and arrive 15 minutes before sunset because the views from their patio looking east towards the mountains, are fabulous!

When you ask people around Wickenburg what they think of the hitching post, it’s usually just a “they’re okay.” And I’d have to agree. The atmosphere is wonderful. I love the clubhouse feel. I love to look out over the golf course. Wonderful. The wait staff was friendly. The live band was surprisingly very good. The order was out fast. The food however, could be improved upon. I got the chicken parmesan. With the fried chicken breast. It tasted okay. It came out just warm. The sauce tasted very good. The chicken breading was overcooked-almost burnt. Plainly visible to both the server and the chef. But tasted good as well. My wife got the shrimp with broccoli and rice. Unfortunately, the baked potatoes were not ready yet. And, she said it was just all right. Not great, but not bad. While we probably will return at some point. I will say that the food quality does not match the prices that they charge.

Beautiful outdoor dinner with great service and live entertainment.. he interacted well with us all, putting a comedic spin on creative music he played.. steak was perfectly cooked, the club was quality and the blt was fresh! We will be back next time we are in yarnell or Wickenburg!

Disappointed in the pre-made squash ravioli. What should you get? Red sauce, white sauce, garlic oil? I had the suggested white sauce, not the best. I was expecting better. There are other items on the menu I want to try. If it is all pre-made brought in food, then it is a reheat restaurant. I will see.

We’ve now had the Friday Fish fry and Saturday Prime Rib, and both exceeded all expectations! The food was exceptional and the service was over the top personal and right on point!!!! Highly recommend The Hitching Post! We will be back for breakfast!!!!!

Food was good, server was good, live music was good. Now the bad. The flies were out in force. The restaurant could have purchased air curtains to keep them out, or blue zappers for outside, or something. The flies are out of control!
