Tolis Pupuseria is a Must-Visit! If you are searching for an authentically warm dining experience paired with truly spectacular Central American cuisine, look no further! This restaurant is an absolute gem, delivering a welcoming and friendly vibe that makes you feel instantly at home.
The service was fantastic, and the staff is all family and friends, adding to the homey atmosphere. The food is simply delicioud, with the pupusas being the undeniable stars of the show. Perfectly grilled, filled with savory ingredients, and served with tasty curtido , these thick corn tortillas are authentic perfection! We loved them! We were also thoroughly impressed by the other traditional dishes. The crispy, flavorful pastelito salvadoreños were an excellent start to the meal, and the caldo de gallina India (country hen soup) was hearty and comforting.
Pupuseria is more than just a place to eat; it’s a genuine taste of El Salvador. They also serve authentic Mexican food, so we’ll be back to try that soon, too! We highly recommend!

We had a great experience at Tolis and are so glad we stopped in. We tried a variety of different pupusas, and each one was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It was fun sampling several kinds, and none of them disappointed.
The sauces and sides really complemented the pupusas well… tasty, balanced, and not overpowering. While these weren’t the absolute best pupusas I’ve ever had, the overall quality more than made up for it. Everything tasted fresh, satisfying, and thoughtfully prepared.
The cashier/server was especially wonderful…. so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made the experience even better. You can tell they care about their customers.
Overall, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Solid food, friendly service, and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll absolutely be back again sometime to try more.

My wife and I have found our new favorite restaurant that leads with wonderful El Salvadoran cuisine and follows with a Mexican flare!! The flavors take you to the home country of each of the owners, a wonderful married couple Zoila & Cristian. Birria tacos, Alambre de Asada, Queso & Jalapeño pupusa, Queso pupusa, Empanadas de Platano were devoured this night!! There is no other Pupuseria (or even Mexican restaurant) I’d recommend. Kid friendly and lovely music round out this wonderful spot!!

Tolis serves Salvadoran food AND Mexican food! Tolis’ signature item, among many others, is pupusa, which is a soft corn or flour tortilla filled with cheese, meat and non-meat options.
I love their pupusas, tacos, Alambres, Quesadillas, burritos, and many other dishes.
The restaurant is clean and staff are friendly. Highly recommend stopping by and trying their pupusas and Mexican food!

Excellent Salvadorian food for a very reasonable price. Their enchiladas are unique compared to the ones you get at mexican restaurants. Served on an crispy open face shell. Pastelitos were fried crispy and pleasantly savory. The pupusa can be made with either refried beans or custard (both almost tasted like a dessert). Simply delicious!
Service is slow though. You can expect to wait 20-25 minutes to be served. They day I went, it wasn’t even crowded and it stil took that long. There’s a decent amount of seating indoors. No outdoor seating. Plenty of parking.
I do wish they had metal utensils. The plastic utensils were useless when trying to cut the firm enchilada shell.

Amazing food! The namesake papusas were of course fantastic, with the spicy red salsa a big standout. We were surprised by how good the chicken wings were, also top notch.
They also did a nice job spicing up the interior. Please support this great, local spot!

We stopped on our way through the Cities. We had never had pupusos. They were fabulous. The owner gave us great recommendations on his favorites, but also took time to explain other Menu options. The food was authentic. My daughter isn’t always fond of a lot of spice. This food was not spicy at all, but had great flavor. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and inviting. The price was incredible! 3 of us are for right at $30. We are so glad that we tried something new and we will be back.

Definitely worth a visit! Their pupusas are fantastic & customer service was great as well. We ordered pupusas revueltas, they were sold out of birria that day (shows how popular it is), so we’ll definitely need to come back to try those. We also ordered their yuca appetizer, amazing! We ordered for takeout and the food was still piping hot 20-25 minutes later.
