Hidden little gem in Lakewood. Clean dining area, freshly laundered linen napkins, chill background music. Everything on the menu is made from scratch and tastes like a Sunday home cooked meal. The collard greens were prepared with smoked turkey, mac and cheese was delicious, and the fried chicken was crispy and full of flavor. Ms. Sheila the owner stopped by my table to ensure everything was up to par. She shared her story of bringing this cuisine from her family to Cleveland. It’s apparent the menu is made with pride and love for good southern comfort food. Support this local establishment!

This Place was amazing… great fresh hot food… Seasoned to perfection… I had the Salmon, Mac and cheese, and fried vegetables and I have no complaints! Also the soul rolls will knock your socks off literally!!!! The hospitality was so top tier they made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us periodically! I’m going to recommend this place to everyone! Exceptional ❤️

The turkey chops were fried and smothered-so good. The greens? 10/10—juicy and packed with flavor. But the star of the show was that mac & cheese… creamy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious . The cornbread was super moist too and tied the whole meal together.

Naomi’s was really good. I am hard to please when it comes to taste but I’ll admit this hit the spot. Love the breading on the chicken, fish and green tomatoes. The only thing I didn’t love was the macaroni but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t good just to creamy (loose) for my liking. However there was none left and I went with my husband and 2 children. Let’s talk about the freshness of the food. It was prepared with love. It came highly recommended and I would go back again and again. We spent $133 and that was with 3 appetizers and 4 entrees. Overall, give them a try you will not be disappointed. I went in looking for smothered pork chops ☺️ so maybe they’ll add them to the menu. Again I highly recommend this place and if you follow my reviews then you know that’s not something I say often! 10 10 10’s across the board!

Naomi’s is such a treat! Delicious and amazing fresh food made with love and expertise. We split the fried perch dinner and had to bring some home. Too much to eat! The fish was just perfect and had wonderful light batting. The sauces were excellent as well. The cornbread is terrific! The star for me was the collard green side. Sooooo delicious and hearty! The grilled vegetables were also delicious. Don’t sleep on this restaurant— we can’t wait to go back and try their other goodies. Our server was fantastic and so sweet and knowledgeable. We will go back tomorrow!!

My father and I had the pleasure of dining at Naomi’s yesterday and it was a magnificent experience! It was very nice to see so food restaurant with Southern cooking in Lakewood, Ohio. The food was beautifully presented, and of course delicious! I ordered the catfish dinner in my Father ordered the salmon. Everything was so filling and tasty! I had also ordered a side of soul rolls. Since it was pretty busy I wasn’t able to receive them, however the head chef (I presume) gave them to me for no charge! Regardless of if I receive them or not, we were still coming back and I would’ve gotten them the second time around along with getting some more of that soul food. That was superb customer service and that is why they’ll have a returning customer!

I called in a pick-up order for the catfish dinner and the turkey chop dinner. I was told the wait would be 20-25 minutes and I waited for an hour. The Mac and cheese tasted like sweet eggs. The green beans are canned and have little to no flavor. The rice was hard and not done all the way. The turkey chops and corned bread were OK at best. Now for the finale…the fish. I found a short red hair inside the fish as if it had gotten into the batter or fish fry and fried with the hair attached. I spent $50 for both meals. I promise you I will not be going back and I advise the next person to stay away.

Drop everything and go to Naomi’s Recipes in Lakewood NOW. Any restaurant that serves fried okra will always get my attention and it did not disappoint. The southern rolls with chicken were delicious. The fried chicken was so juciey, it ran down my chin and the flavor of the meat was outstanding. The mac and cheese was absolutely delicious and the green beans… THE FREAKING GREEN BEANS. Yeah. I could eat an entire bowl of those green nuggets from heaven! The smothered Turkey Chops were out of this world. Left my mouth watering for more. The Collard greens and grilled vegetables were perfectly seasoned. There was zero grease on our plates. That’s a plus for me. This food was cooked with care. Gold star for the service as well. We will most definitely be back.

Ordered the fried okra and fried shrimp. The portions are generous and I was very pleasantly surprised by the experience. What little exposure to soul food in famous restaurants in New York and other cities have been mediocre at best with unfriendly services but wow- the waiter was not kidding when he prided the place’s fried food. Food is fried upon order- and you can tell by how rich, warm and crispy the food is. Best fried shrimp I had in a long time. The side was well-seasoned and of high quality. People in the restaurant are very friendly, warm and accommodating. The only downside if I have to say any is that they are not very fast-paced.

They never wiped down our table after asking numerous times. No water or service for 45 minutes. No bread. No chips
No eye contact from server or a reason why this was happenig. The food came 3 hours later, yes, 3 HOURS LATER, they only had 9 tables…. the perch was old and rotten. They had no tarter sauce , lemon or any condiments for dipping the fish.They had no salt or pepper. Coleslaw was out of a can as was the greens.It was bland and awful. They couldn’t find us silverware while my food sit there, then they said they were going to start on my husband’s as my food sat there. After over 3 hours, I got up and left. They never wiped off our table, so there was crumbs from the last customers till the end. The people next to us had the same experience and complained about the catfish. They said it tasted ” fishy and old” , they had been there lo ger than us. The people behind us complained about the greens. There was 1 cook , a woman in her late 60s or 70s & 1 server whos pants hung so liq gis underwear was out & he wore a hoodie with hood up on his head string tied tight around his face; they were both incompetent. Something was up. The food took hours and was garbage. People came in and out to ” visit” the cook then leave quickly. They were cooking for 1 person at a time …it was the WORST experience I have ever had. Our table was never wiped down. When I told them the issues, she said ” I don’t catch the fish, I just cook it, and you gonna pay ?”
