If you need comforting southern home cooking in your life, then stop here. This place has all the traditional southern side items and a plethora of desserts, and the chicken and dressing is delicious.
Their hours are on the earlier side, but if you need a hearty meal at a steal of a price then check it out. If you catch their breakfast (before 10:30, I believe), their homemade gravy is really good. They do not accept credit or debit cards. There’s an ATM at Huck’s across the street or the bank a few blocks south.
I don’t think this would be a good pick for vegetarian or vegan eaters. There are lots of vegetable side items but I wouldn’t count on them being free from bacon fat, bacon, butter, etc.

If you want the best home cooked meal for breakfast and lunch. You got to eat at carol’s restaurant. If you leave not full it’s your own fault. Best priced food and great homemade desserts. I eat there every day for lunch and love there biscuits in the morning. The biscuits melt in your mouth mmmmmmmm so good.
