This place is the best! Delicious fajitas and spicy salsa. The margaritas are on point and the service is stellar! Katherine is THE best! The had great specials on NYE with $2.99 margaritas and $1.99 Jack & Cokes. Very affordable prices to bring the whole fam. They also have Happy Hour! Must try!

We always enjoy going here. Delicious tacos. The waiter is always so friendly. Definitely recommend going here if you haven’t yet. You can’t beat the prices for taco Tuesday. 2 happy hour margaritas and the tacos below for $20.

Tried a new place today that my sister picked out. Huevos Rancheros wasn’t on the menu but they said they would make them on request so my sister had that and I had Brisket Tacos. Their chips and salsa was delicious as well as all of the food. It says they have Banana margaritas and I would love to try those one day. Today we just had soda. The waiter and food are worth the visit!!

Best carne asada tacos I’ve had outside of the border states. Authentic, fresh, lots of flavor, perfect chewy-but-crispy tortillas. If you’re looking for that hidden gem of a real deal Mexican spot, this is it. Great service and atmosphere too.

The tacos Al Pastor, were delicious. This was our first time here. I plan on going back tomorrow on Tuesday for taco Tuesday. The server is from Columbia, and the owner is from Puebla, Mexico. They are both very nice. it was nice having the owner talk to us as well. They are both very personable. I was mostly there for the food, and I will be returning.

Atmosphere is kinda, meh. Granted they are new so I give them a pass. The salsa is my favorite salsa in Nixa. Very good! I had the Mexican Burrito. It was actually pretty darn good and I’d definitely order it again. The owner was walking around serving and talking to folks. I appreciated that. My son loved everything he had. The churros and ice cream were awesome.
My son wanted me to add his review.
“The food was very very good. I got the big burrito with jalapeños,steak, lettuce, tomato etc. For dessert we got there churros. They have a nice cinnamony taste very sweet. There salsa. At first a little sweet at first then salty and savory. I would highly recommend this place. Very bussin that means good”.

Los Paisas – A new entry into the Mexican food dining landscape in Nixa. Really enjoyed our dining experience- what made it exceptional was the super star waitress Jackie and her personality of service that matched the food quality. Brisket burrito was amazing, tortilla soup was hearty, shrimp with mexican rice, everything we had was excellent.

Busy which was great to see! People have a deer-in-headlights look as it’s far from obvious where to stand while waiting for a table. By the door? By the register? Please put up a sign at least that says “Please wait to be seated”. Some coming in the door sat at empty tables while others were waiting, small thing that I’m sure they’ll get worked out.
Had shrimp enchiladas and brisket burrito, photos attached. They used tiny salad shrimp instead of a larger size you’d expect inside a taco, burrito, or enchilada. Bland cheese atop it, strange texture to it also. Veggies were okay and a surprise as we didn’t see it listed that way on menu. Brisket burrito didn’t come with anything(as the menu does say), but it needs more than a small soufflé cup of salsa verde. And it looked so lonely on that white plate.
Would we order the enchiladas again? Nope, the burrito? Eh, I guess. Obviously they just opened up, I’ll try em again down the road and see how it is. If nothing changes in flavor or presentation I won’t go back a third time. Pictured too is the horchata. Small cup for 3.99 no refills. No comparison in flavor or value to a place like El Champu’s horchata-of course not fair to compare to my fave Mexican restaurant.
Though getting more and more common, I really detest a non-cash fee. It just gets under my skin to forward cost of doing business like that. Restaurants would be better off raising prices to cover the expense, that way when the occasional customer pays in cash it’s like bonus money. Not a hard concept.
