Verbano’s in Kaimuki – Fettuccini Alfredo and Meatball linguini were ok so about three stars. The woman that took my order and rang up my takeout order was very nice and polite. However, the Rigatoni arrabiata and Pesto linguini were not so tasty. Rigatoni seemed under cooked – dry and hard. The House bread was kind of hard too. Based on food quality will probably not go there again.

My fiancé and I come here for the great food and the awesome customer service whenever we have the hankering for Italian fusion food. Such a cozy atmosphere and we have such a fabulous time!

Went multiple times since 2011, very good Italian food. As of 2019-05, on Saturdays the new owner confirmed they were following WEEKDAY hours. Went there on Saturday June 1st at 1:30pm and it was opened. He changed the hours and did not have time to update signs, so the restaurant was empty. I took a picture of hours outside but it was still showing the old sign. Paid $0.60 for 1 hour parking, not bad. Most importantly, food was still great.

I was nostalgic for their Carbenara from my college days, but I loved the amaretto cream even more.

Best parmesan linguini I ever had. I ate the whole plate! Better than my Nonna’s.. not that I’ll ever tell her!!

My chicken fettuccine was good, tasted like it should be.
Expect smaller portions as they kept the prices lower. Just keep asking for more bread.
Service is great and very friendly. This is an old area so don’t expect it to be fancy.

I was looking for a nice cozy place to eat and this restaurant hit the spot. The food was delicious. My BF had the chicken Parm and said it was pounded and breaded to perfection. I had the shrimp scampi and the sauce was lovely. Just right without a greasy too much butter flavor. The shrimp were almost jumbo size and flavorful with extra spirits of lemon on the side. The parmesan to top everything off was not overpowering and added a little umph. The dessert was yummy but frozen. The prices are not too steep and match the portion size. The lemonade tastes fresh squeezed and more tart than overly sugary. The staff was attentive and encouraging without being pushy. Super sweet and kind. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I LOVE coming here! It’s a quaint, quiet, and very comforting spot for us. The ambience and the fact that the owner remembers us are what keeps us coming here. The food is DELICIOUS and we’ve never been disappointed. We’ll be coming back for more enjoyable experiences in the future!!!

When I got my $36 order, the bag felt empty. The portions are that small. I had it eaten in 5 minutes.
I’ve had better chicken alfredo from Pizza Hut. For $18, I got a small scoop of bland, greasy noodles with a couple bites of unseasoned chicken.
Garlic bread was hard as a rock. Not edible. Threw it away.
$13 for all of 10 little strips of fried calamari.
Absolutely not worth it. Ever.

Food wasn’t tasty my boyfriend and I got the chicken Parmesan. The chicken was completely flat with no seasoning just a piece of cheese on top and laid on top of the noodles with very bland sauce. We also got the peppers with anchovy appetizer. It was not tasty at all it was just very fishy and watery we also got the escargot appetizer it was plain and the portions were very small. Food was terrible but the service was great, very nice people.
